Well, yoou can hardly blaim him for their lacky defence. Especially not when you consider their team mentality. IMO Marquez would be a scoop for Juventus.

However, I still belive Marquez could go on to prove himself as a world class player in Serie A. He's playing at a team that hasn't got a defensive tradition. He could become a very good player at Juventus, indeed

Hunter would be a good signing. However, I would also be happy if Bianchi became a part of the team. Quaresma could also become an awesome player.

Still, it would seem silly to sign medicore Italians, when you could get foreign superstars. Catch my drift?

How can you doubt Marquez?! He is a player that has peformed consistently over the last 6 years!! You can't find a lot of defenders about who you could claim the same thing! Have you actually seen the man play?! Me guess is no, because if you had you wouldn't doubt him. Stop thrashing...

Isn't that a bit harsh? He is a rare combination of size, speed, power, technique, he can keep his head cool, and isn't rattled by pressure. If you like him or not; he's got the intangibles.

I feel the exact same way. I start hyping a rumoured transfer target and suddenly he decides to stay at his current club. Secco will propably deny the link tomorrow, and we will all know, that we missed out on a great opportunity to get a great defender (and player).

Thanks! :) Besides, Marquez is not a bull rush defender, who charges forward at every given opportunity. He usually plays in a calm way that brings stability. He would fit in well with the "Italian" mentality in defense.

As mentioned, defenders get exposed in Spain, especially in Barcelona. Keeping that in mind, Rafa Marquez has (more or less) consistently performed at Barca. If he does end up in Juventus, it will be a great deal, and most people propably wouldn't know what we got until they see him in...
