Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

Why does he want the season to end - is he paranoid that milan or roma will catch up & steal the title? The surgeon who performed the lobotomy on mancini, must have removed his entire brain. :D

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

Trust the Milan clubs to wriggle out of the rules everyone else has to keep to.

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

De Laurentiis has a point. What has the government done to help the sport? The games have been halted & now they say they must play behind closed doors. This will affect many small teams, that are dependent on "gate" money. (Napoli obviously will feel this because they have a large support &...

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

Agree with you there. These hooligans are merely gangs using football as an excuse for violence. Perhaps not this weekend, but soon! It does! The English found that was the case, when they were trying to prevent hooliganism. Looks like Torino & Juventus home games may be allowed to go...

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

:agree: Your quite right, Jun-hide. Whether or not Prodi's government or Figc have brains is very debatable. Halting football is a stupid idea. The cost to Italian football in revenue, players & (what's left of) Italian football's reputation would be enormous. It's obvious that these people are...

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

This is a possible short term solution, but you can't do this for a year. Authorities need to get their act together more quickly. Including the European Human Rights Act - Denying people (in this case footballers) the right to work! Some great posts there Bisco, but I have to spread the...

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

He's right! They wouldn't have got away with it in Scotland & the other Uk countries! That's because we took action years ago to reduce this kind of incident. There are still hooligans, but the trouble is on a smaller scale, BECAUSE we took action.

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

How many more people have to die before Figc & the police get their act together & do something about this. Sorting out football hooligans is something they should have done YEARS ago, but did they? NO! Weapons/flares/fireworks should have been banned ages ago, especially as the rival fans have...

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

I agree that the situation is out of control. The reason for that is because the police & Figc/La lega should have taken action years, if not decades ago. The years of non action have made the situation worse. We were lucky in that the SFA took action decades ago, when Scotland beat England at...

Violence could halt Italian football/Calcio suspended

:agree: I doubt it will happen. The truth is football violence in Italy is out of hand, because neither the police or the Italian football authorities do, or have done anything about it. The problem is that it is affecting refereeing decisions - look at trefolini. He tried to avoid a Roma -...
