I don’t see Khedira as a leader and De Ligt just turned 20, is finding his feet and has made a big career move to a new country. There’s a big difference between someone who wears the captains armband these days and a leader in my opinion.

With no Chiellini, Mandzukic or Buffon on the field we are seriously lacking any leadership.

Before he moved to us I always believed he was a 1 in 2 chances kind of player. Judging over the past season for us I now think he’s actually more 1 in 3 or 1 in 4, but he doesn’t stop shooting which boosts his numbers.

I agree with this. The puzzled look on his face at times makes it look like a lack of confidence. Should be given this season in a specialised position (RW) and if he fails then we should get shot.

I can’t say I’ve seen any evidence of the this. Making lung bursting runs back and last ditch sliding tackles in my opinion doesn’t constitute defensive ability.

Thought we played some good football. However it remains glaringly obvious that whilst we have some decent strength in depth in a few positions, the full back options are woeful.
