    [Serie A] JUVENTUS 4-3 Napoli [August 31st, 2019]

We all saw what a wonderful captain he was at Milan.[emoji23]

    [Serie A] JUVENTUS 4-3 Napoli [August 31st, 2019]

We’re moving off the original topic here, but you only have to look at our current policy of giving the armband to the most capped player to see that they are not always selected primarily for their leadership qualities.

    [Serie A] JUVENTUS 4-3 Napoli [August 31st, 2019]

I don’t see Khedira as a leader and De Ligt just turned 20, is finding his feet and has made a big career move to a new country. There’s a big difference between someone who wears the captains armband these days and a leader in my opinion.

    [Serie A] JUVENTUS 4-3 Napoli [August 31st, 2019]

With no Chiellini, Mandzukic or Buffon on the field we are seriously lacking any leadership.

    Fabio Paratici

The fact you could even consider calling a club legend that makes me believe you didn’t follow the club 15 years ago.

    Merih Demiral

    Wait, what?

    Cristiano Ronaldo

I believe this was my point. I believed he was a 1 in 2 chances player because in the big games where I watched him and in particular the CL games against us, he never missed. I’d be interested to see the chances to goals stats from last season to ascertain where the truth lies. I recall him...

    Cristiano Ronaldo

Before he moved to us I always believed he was a 1 in 2 chances kind of player. Judging over the past season for us I now think he’s actually more 1 in 3 or 1 in 4, but he doesn’t stop shooting which boosts his numbers.

    [Serie A] JUVENTUS 4-3 Napoli [August 31st, 2019]

It was hard to work out whether it was because of a lack of match practice/rust, nerves or just being lost having to play on the right side of a 3 whilst having a non-existent right foot. Looked decent in pre-season, but then pre-season always tends to make fools of us. Also, considering we’ve...

    [Serie A] Parma 0-1 JUVENTUS [August 24th, 2019]

Matuidi over Rabiot is a joke.

    Matthijs de Ligt

He does, but I fear the thought of watching Chiellini and Bonucci trying to run backwards chasing a ball in behind them.

    Federico Bernardeschi

I agree with this. The puzzled look on his face at times makes it look like a lack of confidence. Should be given this season in a specialised position (RW) and if he fails then we should get shot.

    Juan Cuadrado

I didn’t say it doesn’t count as defending. My point is that if you’re having to do that then chances are your starting position and reading of the game wasn’t good. It’s nice to have in the locker for the rare occasions a game gets very stretched but in normal games it just incites panic and...

    Juan Cuadrado

I can’t say I’ve seen any evidence of the this. Making lung bursting runs back and last ditch sliding tackles in my opinion doesn’t constitute defensive ability.

    Blaise Matuidi

Whilst I understand the general discontent in appointing Sarri, I’m guessing you go through the change curve at a terribly slow pace.

[ICC] Atletico Madrid vs JUVENTUS [August 10th, 2019]

Thought we played some good football. However it remains glaringly obvious that whilst we have some decent strength in depth in a few positions, the full back options are woeful.

    Sami Khedira

    Lucky Sami.

    Federico Bernardeschi

Looks clear from pre-season that he will play as the right winger in a front 3. Probably a direct fight with Costa for that spot.

    Mattia De Sciglio

Welcome back to the starting X1. So defensively solid and versatile that he can also cover centre back. Impossible to forget that magical performance against Atalanta in the Coppa.
