Xherdan Shaqiri - Winger - Bayern Munich

Have people seen Shaqiri's legs? Sign him and Juve will have another drug scandal on their hands.

    Patrice Evra

I would say so. Very Gallaini-esque deal. Old player, low transfer fee and big wages. I think this transfer is probably fine for this coming season, but I'll be surprised if Evra is still a player worth that wage in the second year of his contract.

Roberto Pereyra - Midfielder - Udinese

Yeah, he's a decent, versatile, attacking player. Seen him have good games as trequartista, breaking forward from deeper in midfield and playing from wider. Not knowing what shape or tactics Allegri plans to play, can't really say what his role will be. Could be anything from taking...

    [ITA] Serie A 2014/2015

Only interesting thing there is the idea that there may be fewer teams playing with a back three than there have been in recent years.

Non-Juve Transfer news (official or rumors)

But the Hummels rumour was so obviously not true (the cost part, possible he'd go to Utd) that it makes for a really stupid argument against Marotta. There are plenty ways to criticise Marotta, but you harm your case if you pick the wrong opportunities to criticise.

Wishlist and General Juve mercato talk (2014-15)

Just how cheap would Osvaldo have to be for people to consider signing him? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28419258

    Giuseppe Marotta

Good post, Pedro. I would only point out that there were an awful lot of people against the 'no-brainer' Pirlo deal.

What Are You Doing Right Now?

I rather like the apparent lack of organised, public grieving. Leave people who want to grieve to do it in their own private way rather than shoving it down everyone's throats. All public grieving seems to do is compell people to put on big shows of grief and then people who are reserved about...

Non-Juve Transfer news (official or rumors)

Don't know about that. Really depends on whether Roma had planned for the sale of Benatia or not. If they didn't plan to sell him, more signings may be possible. If they did plan to sell him, they probably don't have the cash to do anything else after how much they spent on Iturbe...

    [ITA] Serie A 2014/2015

Rafael Cabral would be No. 1 as things stand, I think. He looked decent enough when he played last season, but injured his knee when Napoli were playing Swansea.

    Alvaro Morata

Yes, I'm sure Real Madrid will be leaving that 20m sitting in their Morata account. It's not like there is anything else Real Madrid are likely to spend money on.

    Alvaro Morata

Wonderful. I wish more posters on here would openly admit their lack of interest in logic and reason.

    Alvaro Morata

Indeed. Symbolic value. A key problem of fans of so-called top clubs is that they are frequently more interested in posturing and shouting 'we are whoever' as if that matters, instead of looking at things more practically. Won a trophy last season. Never been relegated.

    Alvaro Morata

Anyway, people must be pretty excited about Morata if they are all so convinced he'll do well enough to make the clause a relevant part of the deal.

    Alvaro Morata

That's super. Chelsea, apparently, want 40m for Lukaku. http://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercato/18-07-2014/juventus-mercato-lukaku-chelsea-nani-pastore-lamela-shaqiri-candreva-801271213639.shtml

    Alvaro Morata

I think people are underestimating just how well Morata would have to do to make Real Madrid inclined to use the buy-back clause. Morata can very probably do well for Juve and improve a lot and still not come close to improving enough to make Real Madrid think it'd be worth spending 30m+ on him...
