I wouldn't go as far as to say Juve pressed. However, they didn't retreat and cede territory and possession after going 1-0 up, so there was less danger of Malmo sneaking a goal simply by virtue of spending time in and around Juve's penalty area.

    [CL] JUVENTUS 2-0 Malmö (September 16th 2014)

Pretty poor performance, but always looked like Juve would do enough to win the game. Thought Juve's midfield three were poor, particularly in the first half. The positioning and decision-making weren't good enough. They were managing to fail to be of any use either in either moving the...

I think there is also the issue that you see empty seats around the edge of the curva because people are all squashed towards the centre of the curva where the action is.

    Nicola Leali

Don't think he could do anything on the second goal. It is inevitable in those circumstances that the keeper's weight is going to be going the wrong way and so it is extremely difficult to make saves when the header is put back across the goal.

Watched it on TV. Couldn't be arsed getting myself down to Glasgow for a lunchtime kickoff. Poor performance, but would have sneaked a draw if the ref hadn't denied us a penalty late on.

    [CL] JUVENTUS 2-0 Malmö (September 16th 2014)

:lol2: - - - Updated - - - Don't worry: so long as Juve's players want to be good defenders, they will be. It's just a state of mind. - - - Updated - - - Ignoring the merits of how strong or otherwise that team is, as a general principle, I'd be concerned about putting in three players...

Even if the union wins a reprieve on Thursday, the argument is clearly not going to end there. The hope once entertained by both Mr Cameron and Mr Miliband that this referendum would put independence to bed for a generation is now for the birds. Among yes voters, even among a lot of no voters...

    [Serie A] JUVENTUS 2-0 Udinese (September 13th 2014)

It's primarily an understanding of the timing of the cross that matters. Very hard for a forward if he doesn't know whether the crosser is going to put it in first time or not. I'll be controversial and sit in the middle and say that I thought Evra was okay overall.
