Nah. Think it'd be really hard to see much golf. It's hard enough work when you go to the Open where there is play on every hole on the course. But when there are only four groups on the course at any given time over the first two days, it'll be vitually impossible to see much.

Yeah, Mickelson's remark was rather amusing. Meant to be pretty windy tomorrow, so probably won't be a day with zillions of birdies winning holes.

    Alessandro Matri

If I'd been in charge of Milan's mercato, you'd be going into the season with Matri and Pazzini as the two main centre-forwards. I'd have looked to strengthen in midfield rather than sign Torres.

    [SCO] Scottish Premier league 2014/2015

Reasonably strightforward dismissal of a lower-league team. Brown Logan-Taylor-Reynolds-Hayes Low--Flood--Jack--Pawlett Rooney-Goodwillie With Livingstone playing three in midfield, Aberdeen spent most of the first hour performing tactical contortions to try and avoid being...

That was what struck me first time I saw him. Haven't seen enough of him to know if he can actually defend, though.

What Are You Doing Right Now?

Took me a while but I've finally shown some form over an extended period this season. Won a 36-hole competition on Saturday with a pair of 72s (+4) and won though to a final with a mate in the foursomes competition. We absolutely crushed our opponents. Won 8&6, so the whole thing was over on...

What Are You Doing Right Now?

Just a quiet afternoon, so I'll head out shortly for a couple of beers before the game. - - - Updated - - - Somewhat concerned by how rubbish my back feels after mowing the lawn yesterday. Got a semi-final to play tomorrow.

    [ITA] Serie A 2014/2015

I didn't really criticise them for having an unbalanced squad last season because I thought they'd have an awkward transitional season moving to 4-2-3-1 after years of Mazzarri's 3-5-2 and it would have been a lot to expect them to manage to overhaul the squad in just one summer. But that lack...

    [ITA] Serie A 2014/2015

No doubt. Selling Fernandez without signing a good replacement and bringing back Gargano to replace Behrami leaves Napoli looking weaker than they did last season. Add to that losing Reina and it's easy to see why they are struggling with an unbalanced squad that doesn't have the quality in...
