I would certainly like to see a clarification/rethink of what merits time being added on. Typically a freekick in a shooting position results in a stop in play for almost a minute, but you'll never see any time added on for that. Not unusual for there to be several of them in a game...

It's an interesting idea, but you'd have to figure our how long you want a game to last because 90 minutes would become far too long. I believe the ball is typically in play for around 60 minutes at the moment.

And I say this in every discussion about centre-halves: You have to separate them into different categories. You have one set which is personified by the likes of Thiago Silva. You have the other set which is guys like Chiellini and Ramos.

Yeah, was going to say. While I rate Chiellini over Ramos in general, I would certainly pick Ramos to play in the open spaces of La Liga.
