    [CL] Champions League 2015/2016

I don't know how easy it is for Juve to allow away fans in outwith the properly-partitioned away section and maintain a safe level of segregation. Haven't seen it done before and I don't know that there will be enough empty seats to make it worth the hassle. Man City don't have the same sort...

[Serie A] Calciopoli Directors vs JUVENTUS (October 18, 2015)

This Inter are all about muscle in midfield. Juve's midfield have the physicality to deal with that and then go and demonstrate their superior ability. Could be a pretty interesting game tactially because whether Juve's system ends up as a back three or a back four will probably depend on...

What Are You Doing Right Now?

I'm not sure how much this whole thing will actually damage the VW brand in the longer term. They are fortunate that the matter they have been caught out on is one that most people don't really care about (here, certainly) and so I don't think in a couple of years time people will be avoiding...

    [SCO] Scottish Premier league 2015/2016

Just a freak game. We defended set-pieces poorly, so deserved to lose, but without being ridiculously unlucky, we wouldn't have conceded more than three in the game and generally would only expect to concede two from the number of chances St. Johnstone had.

    Giorgio Chiellini

Nah, Bologna's goal was Evra's fault. Chiellini has the guy in the centre, Evra has the goalscorer. Evra makes no real effort to track the run and just hopes the guy will be offside, which is really poor.

    Juan Cuadrado

I think it depends on where the space is. If a defence has squeezed up then it is harder to get the ball to his feet and so he should attack the space left behind the defence, as you say. If the defence is deeper, you want to work the ball to Cuadrado in a situation where he is one-on-one with...

    Giuseppe Marotta

That was pretty much my conclusion at the end of the mercato. There was an awful lot wrong with how business appeared to be conducted over the summer, but ultimately Allegri was given a good squad to work with.

Not a fan of Trezeguet, I take it? Why would you judge teams based on whether they are a 'big team' rather than whether they are a good team?

    Alvaro Morata

Depends. I think he'd be better spending a bit less time floating and a bit more time closer to an orthodox centre-forward position. However, you get players with weird instincts. Cavani, for instance, plays best when he is the centre-forward, but is able to drift around a lot and he has the...
