    Antonio Conte

I've seen 4-4-2 fail for 2-3 seasons now because our defense isn't great and our SS doesn't contribute to midfield/build-up play. No top club in Europe plays 2 'stay at home' strikers... it just won't work. The No.10 needs to be mobile, able to dribble etc, apply pressure. Whilst we don't have...

Oh i agree but there's hardly enough evidence to say 4-2-4 is a winner. One ok half vs Parma at home doesn't mean much. Conte is protecting the CB's big time and i don't blame him. Maybe it's Marotta's fault but playing a 4-4-2 right now would give us virtually the same defense as last season...

I thought this midfield was set-up so one of Marchisio/Vidal would be providing the support up front so more like a 4-2-3-1. This happened against Milan but not so much Chievo. Maybe the heat, maybe the communication. I think it's preferable to always play AP/AV/CM in mid but maybe he should go...

Balo would score 30+ easily if he didn't always go for the spectacular goal, a bit like Ibra. But that's who he is. I was half hoping we would hire Mancini as coach because that might be our only shot at signing Balotelli.

We wasted so many freekick/corner ops. Delivery was excellent but nobody on the end of it. But overall, Conte wants to start all 3 of Pirlo/Marchisio/Vidal and that means one out and out striker.

    [Serie A] Chievo 0-0 JUVENTUS (16th October, 2011)

Our wingers are s***t but it appears Conte expects them to do excessive defending. Makes it impossible to counter-attack. And do we really need to rush back on defense against these little teams. We lose the ball, but before you know it, we have 8-9 men back in defensive position to counter...

FFS why is Balotelli always injured when a starting spot is up for grabs.

    Giuseppe Marotta

Why is this even an issue or considered a negative? This is a major reason why Juventus has so many fans on the continent and abroad... or do you think it's built on arab/indian (no offense) glory hunters? If Italy has a bad generation of players, then they will suffer (as they should) as...

Wishlist and General Juve mercato talk (2011-12)

Having watched Chiellini at LB, I'd much rather we get a defensive beast. Even with his occasionally poor positioning, the guy just monstered the left and relieved so much pressure that our CB's barely have to do anything. Seriously, if we need our LB to shoot on goal, score freekicks etc, then...

Bit harsh on Italy. No maybe not the world class of 2006 but then there's nothing in Europe that has me shaking in my boots. Germany's defense is weak and their wingers are Podolski-esque. . Holland is talented as usual but so what. Spain? Once again talented but c'mon... they don't have Messi...

Italy passing game won't work at this level. No players who can dribble their man, or speed. Its all one touch and becomes predictable.

They should give Pirlo a run on the left and DDR central... because against a Germany/Holland, they will have an Ozil/Shneider to run through him. And has Abate ever done anything in attack? He gets there alot but has no clue what to do there. Defensively he is strong though. Marchisio is...

Half the papers are going to push the 'scudetto' thing no matter what, just to put the pressure on us. Best to get use to it.

He's going to get a rude awakening. Apart from Balotelli, we have nobody that genuinely beat a man on the dribble, or even provide some speed through the middle. Having 4 slow CM's pass the ball around might work against a 50% Spain team missing their best players, but it's laughable to think...

Nesta would be the first name i write on the list if he wasn't retired. Older CB's are never a problem, especially complete defenders like him. Cassano-Even the great Baggio wasn't allowed to play behind 2 strikers... Can't see lazy/slow Antonio being put there. Cerci-I hope didn't have a...

Conte would want 2 Ribbery's - 0 Robbens. Either way, he will need to win a scudetto and get his reputation way higher to force these kinds of players to work defensively.

Don't know why Cerci isn't given a go. Hell, do we really need Aquilani and Cigarini, 2 average passing mids. We still have nothing coming from midfield to link attack and totally rely on the full-backs for this. These line-ups look alot like static-Milan. Wait till the big games come along...
