Damn with all the hype he's getting this week, i'm not expecting a big game from him. Allegri will get that Urby guy to sit on him all game, just to make sure Pirlo don't shine.

I'd say if we had an attack that was at least comparable to the top Euro teams, the game would've been 4-1 easy. Our strikers are basically just heart players.

He set up Esti twice i think with decent chances. He also did nice work in the lead up to our first goal. Outsmarted 2 players, after getting a bad pass, and kept the attack going.

I missed the Roma game, but v Atlanta and today... he's looked a little quicker/mobile than he has all year. Maybe it's taken long because he practically missed the whole of last season. The real shame is that we don't have a quick forward that can make those runs behind the defense, like...

I don't know. He seems more effective when he makes occasional forward runs. If he plays as an AM, he gets a little predictable.

+1 There's no need to get a 'vice' Pirlo. We just play someone else with their own style (probably more of a DM) which allows the other mids to push forward more. Or else, drop Vidal and Marchisio back and play someone like Pastore in front of them.

I'd be happy if he's similar to what Chiellini was on the left. Not much attack but a beastly presence. Now with (no Bonucci) Licht - Chiellini -Barzagli.... that f*kn clean sheet city.

It's a shame the last couple years he's been forced to score the big goals, chase records, get first goal in new stadium etc... Because when he actually does try set-up his teammates, his vision and passing is as good as anyone in the world. Notice his goal, he actually went for the pass first...

I agree with this. Though i think Conte's post-Pirlo vision is to have a combatative midfield and leave the creativity/attack duties up top. Like the older Juventus and Man U now. Personally i don't like it. Juve won't match the intensity of EPL teams anyway, and if the front 3 are covered...
