  1. Pavel Nedved

I think Neddy's overworked more than anything else.
  2. Il Capitano Alessandro Del Piero

He did get service and he had a lot of opportunities; while it's true that he was blameless at times and things just weren't working, at other times he seemed a bit reluctant to pass on the ball to others. On a whole, yes, the team just didn't seem to connect, but to say that he got no service...
  3. [Champions League] BATE Borisov - Juventus (30 September, 2008)

That's fair and I think it makes sense; I was never aware of this before. Hmm, I expect there'd be some sort of rebellion, though, if they fined the entire team. (Or those who played terribly - at least half a dozen of them.)
  4. [Champions League] BATE Borisov - Juventus (30 September, 2008)

I think he feels threatened by Gio. It sort of mirrors the time when young Alex cam in at a time when Baggio was considered the talisman, and Alex won over the fans. I know I would never think of Gio as Del Piero's replacement, but it's possible that he's afraid he'll be sidetracked again. Too...
  5. [Champions League] BATE Borisov - Juventus (30 September, 2008)

I didn't know the club could fine players for playing below par. Is that possible?
  6. [Champions League] BATE Borisov - Juventus (30 September, 2008)

It was much less boring than the Catania match, I'll give us that. Most of the credit for that goes to Bate, though  This time the players are to blame. We could hardly maintain possession. What was it? 60-40?
  7. [SERIE A] Sampdoria - Juventus (27th September, 2008)

Er... :shifty: Molinaro was terrible. Well, he saved us from a goal towards the end, but still. What a nightmare of a match, I was hoping for something - anything - to liven it up, even another Cassano hysterical breakdown. Manninger looks really promising, though. Not sure what...
  8. Juventuz LIVE 2008/2009

  9. Juventuz LIVE 2008/2009

Awful, awful play. LOL-ing at Mike's Molinaro should be a postman comment:lol:
  10. Amauri "The Immovable Object" Carvalho de Oliveira

I can't say I disagree, especially with that list, haha... Amauri alone is pretty cool. Definitely cooler than any of those nicks, at least, haha...
  11. Il Capitano Alessandro Del Piero

I love Alex and everything, and I applaud his determination, but after missing that third free kick, he really should have let someone else take the fourth one. Wasn't his day, unfortunately, although he did have the "normal" magic moments we have come to expect of him.
  12. Sebastian Giovinco

Eh, I'm a prude, so I'd rather not nickname someone I like with words like "pimpin", LOL. That's just me, though  But yeah, he's brilliant. Glad to have him on our side.
  13. Amauri "The Immovable Object" Carvalho de Oliveira

Warning: Do not read this post if you're not in a good mood. Will probably make you wanna kill someone (i.e. me.). Nicknames for Amauri: Amauripper! (Pronounced -rippa, for the coolness factor. As in he rips the opponent's goal.) Amauri the Barbarian (Eh, the beast reference? Nevermind.)...
  14. Sebastian Giovinco

Gio was outstanding, wasn't he? So glad to see him back with Juve, and actually ace in his first official match with us.
  15. Claudio Ranieri

Right, and if he had left Gio on and the latter pulled a muscle or something and as a result needed to be sidelined for a month, I'm sure you'll blame Ranieri as well. I thought the formation was great today, and CR did well to sub Gio. In addition to tough luck, our attackers didn't convert...
  16. [SERIE A] Juventus - Catania (24th September, 2008)

Yep, and 4 more than yet another scum. We're 5th in the table, though, behind the biggest scum, Lazio (who thrashed Fiorentina, btw), Atalanta and Napoli. And the most worrying thing is the margin with which we win our matches. Granted, we were unlucky today, but we just need more than 1-0 wins...
  17. [Champions League] Juventus vs Zenit ( 17th September , 2008)

Probably no one would care, but in my defense, I'm not a gloryhunter! I prefer lurking the forums to participating, but I just think it's appropriate to express my joy about our return (i.e. I can't contain my excitement, and there's no one home for me to bug.) I've always supported Juve...
  18. [Champions League] Juventus vs Zenit ( 17th September , 2008)

Ah, finally back where we belong! :bigscarf:
  19. Claudio Ranieri

So true on all counts. I sort of feel bad for Tiago, yet I'm so frustrated at the same time. All that money on him, and nothing to show for it!! I'm really rooting for him, but yeah, not more than I did for Alex during those dark, dreary Capello days. I hated watching the team play during that...
  20. Il Capitano Alessandro Del Piero

It seems he's no longer working with his personal trainer whom he's been with for two years. Something to do with salary, I think, from what I understand. These past few pages of pointless arguments have been really fun to read, by the way xD
