  1. The Wish List and General Discussion Thread

The Skrtel thing is true, some time ago his agent said we approached him.
  2. [Serie A] JUVENTUS 3-2 Genoa (February 14th 2010)

I expect us to get raped. If Livorno and an off form Lazio can create chances against us, I don't want to see what the free flowing Genoa will do.
  3. John ''sell the club'' Elkann

I would say their mistake was firing Deschamps, rather than hiring Ranieri. Claudio had a solid record, and more importantly, he had a history of building good teams for managers to come, which was something we needed. But firing Didier was the real mistake, IMO.
  4. [Serie A] JUVENTUS 3-2 Genoa (February 14th 2010)

And play with 4 at the back.
  5. The Official Alberbo Zaccheroni Thread

Fixed. Candreva was waaaay too offensive.

At least Ciro played the formation that made the most sense, but he got the tactics wrong and made some weird substitutions. Zac's tactics have been questionable so far, his subs are the same as Ciro's, and the 3-4-1-2 was simply a brain fart. He might not be as bad as Ciro yet, but he's sure...
  7. The Official Alberbo Zaccheroni Thread

Yes, but all I'm saying is that what a coach says at a press conference means nothing. It's what's we see during the match that matters. And so far, Zac might be even worse than Ciro.

And second thing, anyone playing a three man defence should be stripped of his coaching licence (unless you have a bunch of players who fit in exceptionally well). That thing got old in the 80s, now it's ancient. When we had the ball, we had three players at the back, when we only needed two...

That has nothing to do with whether Ferrara saw the problems or not. Some coaches just don't bash their teams in the newspapers, that's all.

5 defenders on the pitch and still we can't defend.
  11. [Serie A] Livorno 1-1 JUVENTUS (February 6th, 2010)

I second this, tough I'd prefer DC ahead of Grosso (DC was quite good against Lazio, while Grosso has been abysmal so far) Amauri up front, he played much better against Lazio, plus if we're playing a lone striker, we could use some muscle up front.
  12. [Serie A] JUVENTUS 1-1 Lazio (January 31st, 2010)

We did, but I wonder, how much is that Zac's doing, and how much is it a result of Candreva settling in and Elkann threatening to sell everyone who does not perform. But I agree, we moved a lot more and better today and therefore I'm not going to pass judgement on Zac just yet.
  13. [Serie A] JUVENTUS 1-1 Lazio (January 31st, 2010)

We did good until we scored the goal. Which is basically the same we've done against Roma and Inter.

But finally, it's not Diego to Del Piero and back, but Sissoko's movement gives us more options, thus making us less predictable and more difficult to defend against. And it's clearly showing on the field.
  15. Juventuz LIVE 2009/2010...Best live matches comments ever. Fantastic season.

I like how Candreva is helping Melo with regista duties, and how Sissoko pushes forward to provide an option to Del Piero and Diego.

De Ceglie looks like a headless chicken on LB, yet he's much much better than Grosso...

He would certainly be an improvement on both Canna and Legro. But despite being a fan of his (being Slovak myself) I would prefer if we signed a CB with some brains as Giorgio's partner. But if the price is right, we should get him.
  18. The Wish List and General Discussion Thread

Apparently, we are after Martin Skrtel, and have approached his agent whether he's available. The agent responded that Skrtel is not for sale at the moment, though, but Liverpool might sell him in the future. Source...
