Anybody who states Ibrahimovic does not deserve a place in the first team obviously has not seen much of Juventus this past season. It's also another simple ploy to start yet another Del Piero argument.

We cant deny the incredible potential that Ibra has, but the big problem is that attitude that he is still assuming in the pitch...he makes very difficult plays look easy....but also he sistematically tends to complicate easy plays, favouring his show-off and that has an efectivity cost in the team...
That mentality can work in deutsch league, and probably in other leagues, but it will not work in serie A. plain and simple.

I've read that somewhere, but maybe it was wrong. It still doesn't change the fact that Zlatan scored more goals in play and created much more, hence being the more decisive of the two. Just look at the figures and tell me how many times DP assisted Ibra, and how many times vice versa. That'll probably prove all the other bullshit posters in this thread wrong.
Rather than read somewhere... why not look at the official opta stats for this stuff... its so much easier and its correct....
dp had four pks this year to zlatans 1.... Thats not half his goals....
Also figure in the 3 cl goals and they are basically the same....
Assists... Zlatan had 8 which isnt that impressive really... But yes he had more than dp's 4... But then he played one helluva lot more....
You also mentioned how dp loses the ball more... again go look at the opta stats for last season... where you will see that zlatan was near the top of the table for failed dribbles and lost balls in serie a... So how exactly you come to the conclusion that dp loses the ball more often, i do not know...
Check also the passing stats that do not show zlatan in a very good light either...
Though the argument is pointless form both sides...
At the end of the day... they both had good years last season...
Zlatan a good debut year, but for all the talent has a lot to learn...
Dp taking into account the constant benching... ending up be the clubs top scorer, one of the best goal per min ratio, scoring the most decisive goals in serie a and for his playing time a reasonable assist tally etc... he had a good season too...
Why the zlatan fans need to over rate him and not aknowledge dp's season ... I do not know
And why the dp fans need to try and cut down zlatan and over do the dp praise i do not know either....
They are both important members of our team... and both more than played their part in our victories... yet people have to play them off against each other....
What about the others that play poorly... why do they escape but the likes of dp are criticised at every turn....
Where was nedved last season for example... he was far worse than dp... but he hardly gets a word said against him...
Camo was damn fine allmost all year and without his assists we wouldnt have gotten anywhere but he only gets a bit of praise... not what he deserfved... Same goes with canna, zambro etc....
It also has to be said that the lack of respect for our captain and a guy that will go down in history as one of juves most important players is disgusting from people that call themselves juve fans....
This club in all its history has never been jus about winning... the history of juventus is about heritage feeling, love of the game.... Respect....

It's quite clear that Ibrahimovic has an enormous impact on the team. He doesn't score from half a chance like Trezeguet, or combine passes with midfielders like Del Piero. What he does best is disrupting the opponents defense, and he does a superb job in that.
Del Piero on the other hand is much more of a team player, he passes a lot more (and better). People who say his 14 goals last season 'don't count' because half of them are penalty's forget one thing - he earned the right to take penalty's. If we would let Pessotto take all the penalty's would he score 14? If Del Piero's penalty's aren't proper goals then what are Trezeguet's tap-ins?
Trezeguet's scoring abilities are probably the best in the world. Because neither DP or Zlatan comes near he must play. If we play with two attackers it's silly not to field the Ibrahimovic and Trezeguet duo. However, I think the best current option is to play with all three. But in no situation should Ibrahimovic be relegated to the bench.
