he left after 5 seasons in which he reached the CL final in the 1st 2, a SF in his 3rd and then playing Intertoto Cup and going out early in UEFA Cup in his 4th and going out in CL group stages in his final season. he was 29, wanted that CL badly, the decline of the team was obvious and he left for the team that won it twice in the past 4 seasons. without serious changes, THAT Juventus wasnt winning it anytime soon. if we won any of our finals back then (or that SF against United, im sure we would beat Bayern in the final), maybe he wouldnt leave

but anyway, his achievements while playing for Juve warrant a legend status, doesent matter what happened afterwards

so you agree with removing Baggio from the legends too then?
I find it hard to comment on Baggio tbh

Zidane is a tricky thing. Him and Redondo where the definitive midfielders i saw play when i was a kid. He had his peak at juventus in my opinion. After he left juventus, he was a bit less at madrid, and only really peaked for france.
This forum can accept zidane to be a juventus legend. But when you tell some neutral supporter, he'll tell you zidane was a madrid legend that gave them the 9th CL.

he is a Madrid legend too, but also a Juventus legend. younger people probably remember him from Madrid but some older would definitely remember how great he was for Juve too

Respect to him he didnt leave juve we sold him
lol what the fuck ?

Zidane wanted to go to madrid. We didnt sell him cause we wanted to.

His sale gave us 2 legends. But sportive wise, we have never been near that same reputation again.

He was kinda foced out at any topclub he went to, despite beeing actually really really good.

Its like asking "who's legend is Vieri" ? And vieri wasent forced out, but played for pretty much every team eighter.

I find Baggio an italian legend. But not for any particular club.
And as someone who worships the ground that Roby walks on, this statement can't be any truer. It was always said that Baggio does not belong to one club, but the whole of Italy. The guy made an impact practically everywhere he went.

But let's get a couple of things out there in regards to your first statement.

Juve basically told him to accept a huge paycut or he will get sold. And he was 28 at the time. Coming off a year where he had injuries, but 2 years removed from winning the Ballon D'or. Would you accept a huge paycut if you were him? (Anywhere between 50% and 66% of a paycut, depending on who you would believe).

At Inter, it was because he refused to rat out his teammates that were speaking ill of Lippi back then.

Cant be legend for two clubs of the same reputation. Altho Pirlo is making that a bit hard.

Because Pirlo was the face of juventus return to glory. Just like he was one of the main faces behind Milan and Italy successes during the 00's

Zidane moved to Real on his peak, instead of having it here.

Icon, not legend, would FM say :D

Zidane did leave when we had a campaign like the last one under Conte in europe.
Vidal and Pirlo left at what one would arguably call "the correct time".
What bothers me, is that every player in the legend section has had a long service at juventus, and is a genuine supporter of the club.
Zidane has had barely, if any, words on juventus. Most if not all of his words are about Madrid.
