actually there was some interesting stuff about russian premier league calendar in the start of the rpl season, one guy in russian football forums (as im from latvia, i speak fluent russian) stated zenit have fixed the calendar. the fiction goes like this - about 80% teams who have to play in saint peterburg flies to vladivostok (its a long long way from vladivostok to st.peterburg) in previous round, and if there`s busy week acclimation just make the tiredness biger. though we all know zenit is fighting for uefa cup places this season, its easy to believe such conspirations as zenit is probably the richest club in east Europe and have big names behind them like Putin and Medvedev, who both come from st.peterburg...
