I think we should not sell Zambrotta. He is very important for our team and it would be very hard to get an equal player. He can still play 5 years or even more on a high level.
Moreover Chelsea doesn`t really offer very much for him. They already paid more money for players that are not half as good as Zambrotta.

I really like how Zambrotta fights for Juve and never gives up.

Zambrotta-Chelsea, la Juve non ci sente
23 03 2005

Moggi says that Zambrotta is untoucheble....:cheesy:

So is it a good business to sell Zambro for 15m£ ??? I won't be convince even if they double this cash....
15 million pounds is around 23 mil €, and thats a lot of money, enough for 2 or 3 good players.

Have to say, I wouldn't sell him for that. I'd be looking for at least €30m. Players of that class can't be replaced, only substituted with an inferior.

its too bad he is a defender because that price would have been at least 45 mill if he was a midfielder or striker

Well we can always convert him back to winger for what's remaining of this season before selling him.

I'd be looking for a little bit more,as John said maybe around 30m €,but having said that first and foremost Moggi has to promise to spend that money instead of keeping it all in the bank before I'd consider selling anyone. The squad depth is bad enough as it is.

... Something much simpler AND CHEAPER, and just as good would be:

Del Piero Zlatan Mutu
Maresca Emerson Camoranesi
Zambrotta Cannavaro Thuram*Zebina
Buffon

* Barzagli instead of Thuram, depending on form.
Keep Trezeguet and Zalayeta, for some good rotation upfront.
Bring back Chiellini and try him or Zambrotta as right-back.

We would not need the cash from selling Zambrotta and/or Buffon.

Chelsea Table Gigantic Zambrotta Bid-Report
3/23/2005 5:49:00 PM
Goal.com’s Italian edition is reporting that Juventus have received an offer from Chelsea of 35 million Euros for their left wing Gianluca Zambrotta.
The gigantic offer comes as a result of the complications surrounding Ashley Cole’s move to Roman’s court.

If these reports turn out to be true, it is extremely difficult Juventus will say no to the Premiership giants.

Last Sunday, former Chelsea boss and Juventus player Luca Vialli had revealed Chelsea were preparing a very important bid for the Italy international.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's more likely to happen.
