you do have a point, but where's the sense in selling our best players? sure, we cash in, but then we'll bring more mercenaries with no connections to this club whatsoever and along comes the risk of failing to qualify for the cl. balzarettis and chiellinis will not cut it.

Mercenaries?? Absolutely not.

Young players that countless other teams have been willing to take a chance on?? (See Barcelona- Messi, Ronaldinho Eto'o) Definitely.

This whole "Mercenary Mentality" that Juve has adopted over the past few years has troubled me greatly, and thankfully that will now change

Exactly, sell all three of them, if need be.

And the likes of Messi DO come around more often than you think, its just that Juve was never interested

Zambrotta is still as fast as he was in 2003. Only in the 4-4-2 he can't join the attack as much because Nedved is already out on the left.

Even after cheating to win the championship.
I thought we were off the hook for 2005/2006?

At least that's what I heard..

And I've watched all the games. My perception is that we won this title fair and square with good spirit and determination

Zambrotta is too slow for Barca

You must be out yo mind foo.....

Zambo owns the Left back position......to be honest Zambo owns the Whole pitch. He is a straight up utility player......if there were 11 zambrottas.....you would have 1 league title....1 CL....and the italians would have a World cup.......Zambo is bad ass my friend....

The same determination that we lost a ten point lead? Or is this drop of points due to lack if fittness (which brings us back to my original comment)

We hit poor form after the Arsenal game and I honestly think that was a mental issue.
They talk about it in the studio on british channel Bravo as well, and they were all impressed by how we managed to grind out draws and after that pick ourselves up and get back to winning ways.

It wasn't always beautiful, I can agree with that, but we certainly were determined winners who deserved it in the end.

There comes a point where you have to realize that a core group of players that you have on the team is not going to be enough to get the job done anymore. Zambrotta is one of those guys.

Is he part of the problem?? No, definitely not, but at his age, he's not part of the solution anymore either.

The window for this team challenging for a CL trophy (which , quite frankly, is the ONLY trophy that matters) closed last year. That team potentially had the best chance of winning it. Window is closed now. Time to cash in on some of these chips that Juve still hold (Zambo, Nedved, especially if he has a good WC) and others
I disagree with your point on Zambrotta. However, yes, I can see your point on cashing in those players that used to be part of the core. Eg: Nedved

Neddy shouldn't have been playing this much this season, we can't be relying on him. We can't afford to have a transition season for our creative influence next season, so it should have been this season, considering his form last season. The man I thought who could fill his shoes was sold for peanuts to Sevilla - and he would have bled black and white for the club.

Not calling Neddy a mercenary but will his replacement show heart? We've been lacking in that aspect lately it hurts

I feel we're in a pretty dangerous position now - with most of our core players being quite old (Thuram, Neddy) so that's why I wouldn't put Zambrotta in that group of core players that shouldn't be considered as core player: He's young (got about 2 seasons left of him)

Agree that he's not part of the solution but if we get rid of him now, the solution isn't going to come anytime soon. Fliakis reckons the 'balzarettis and chiellinis will not cut it.'; so do I and I don't think we can afford to really splurge this summer thanks to the scandal

If he goes to Barca, they're gonna storm to another CL. I remember the time they wanted Beckham, failed, and got Ronaldinho. They couldn't get Henry this time and I don't think they really need him. Zambrotta would be a really good addition for them
