Zambrotta extends until 2010
Friday 5 August, 2005
Gianluca Zambrotta has committed his future to Juventus by extending his contract with the club until 2010.
The left-back has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Inter recently, but he has now added another two years on to his previous Turin agreement.
The former right-sided midfielder is widely regarded as one of the best players in Italy for both club and country.
The international star joined the Turin giants in the summer of 1999 after the Bianconeri paid Bari £7m.
Zambrotta has since won three League titles in 2002, 2003 and 2005, plus two Italian Super Cups in 2002 and 2003.
The 28-year-old will next be in action on Saturday night when the Italian club take on Benfica in a Lisbon friendly.
