What is so unrealistic about stopping all influence in that area?
Cause the US and Israel are incredibly tight partners, the US pulling out would mean that Israel could never work with them again. Also it could cause a major upset in the region, as Israel would lose (almost) all of their power.

Try to be more open towards international organizations like the UN and NATO.

d) Yes, if supported by NATO.
I think thats very much a key, and to my mind one of the main reasons the US is losing its respect and status around the world. By completely ignoring these authorities of supposed power they, and we (the UK) are sending out a clear message that we'll do as we jolly well please, which surely only adds fuel to the recruitment campaigns for the likes of Al Quieda (sp) and others!

Cheers Josh, great minds do indeed think alike :) How are you doing by the way, don't seem to have come across you much lately?

Well is that such a big deal? Maybe it would alleviate some of the terrorist threat. There is no sense in supporting two terrorist groups. Until both of them can realize that what they're doing is completey idiotic, we should not have any part in it.
