tbh only heard starship trooper, which is amazing, but never really bothered exploring them more. i guess the name turns me off. how good exactly are they?

    i find them awesome.the intros to their songs kick ass.and yes the name can turn a person off.i always mistook them for an old boy band until i started listening to them,and they're brlliant.listen to 'changes' and 'love will find a way'.

    So what genre is yes? Someone hook me up with the name of an album because searching for 'yes' is not something I would like to see the result of.

    I would say Jethro Tull invented prog rock. Back in the days, I used think these guys are the best thing after Del Pier.

    ive developed a certain liking for prog rock off late.i got a yes CD from a friend.id get cream and king crimson soon.any good songs by them in particular?

    well you got me there...though they were active at the same time, both started out in late 60's, but the two of them had completelly different sound. if you heard king crimson you'd see exactly how different.

    i was never much of a clapton fan. :yuck:
    as for king crimson, i'd reccomend albums "in the court of king crimson" and "in the wake of poseidon". but like i said, their sound takes a little getting used to. but if you're in that phase now, it might be a good time to try them out.

    personally i'm in the knopfler phase now. :p
