Not everyone, the majority love him.
I don't know what Majority, media was sucking his dick the whole time. Majority the people I know they despise him.
there are some in Germany, Belgium and Sweden NT too. maybe they will play for Kosovo later, when they are part of UEFA/FIFA...
Believe me they won't play for Kosovo either, same logic, they've been living in Germany/Switzerland/Belgium their whole life :) !
That's just stupid... He's been living in Switzerland for his entire life...

And why shouldn't they. Magnificent player

EDIT: do we have a chance to get him? don't think Bayern will let him go for under 25
How's that stupid? 7 Albanian players play for different national teams, and Albania wasn't part of World CUP. He is very good player, so is Messi.

It's stupid because he is not Albanian, he has bonds to the country, but it's not like he is their property... I can see if he feel like a swiss (but with bonds to his parents countries off course), since he lived there for his whole life. How do you decide which of these players are Albanian then? Is it if they are born in there, or if just one of the parents are? Because he is born in Yugoslavia, it's Kosovo today though, and he lived his entire life in Switzerland...

The fuck are you talking about?

He is Albanian.

If you don't know what you are talking about, just don't.

And I don't call him traitor, he wasn't even called by Albania in the first place, unlike that little shit Januzaj.

Keep it coming homies, he is as much swiss as he is Albanian - i'm not neglecting his Albanian connection. Besides, for you Joker, i wasn't even aiming anything at you, since as you said yourself, he isn't a traitor for choosing Switzerland. He has dual nationality, so for him to choose one of the contries is no harm done. It's not like he first went to another country at age 25 to play football, and then starred their national team 5 years after like Diego Costa or Thiago Motta. I could understand the traitor-shouts in that case

Playing for Swizterland is another thing, not being Albanian? Yugoslavia? :howler:

Ask any Albanian (Kosovo-Albanian) living in Switzerland what are they, they will all tell you they are Albanians living there, not Swiss. Even the young generations who were born there.

Why is it another thing when it is the only thing i pointed at? It was exactly his choice of Switzerland as the team to play for i was referring to when saying i didn't get the traitor chants....

But you actually hit the point very well. Becuase you say, that even people who aren't tecnically 100 % albanians, sometimes will feel albanian. Then why is it criminal to do that the other way around?

Are players slavers or something? How can you insult a man because he's made his choice. It didn't hurt anyone in the process so what's the problem?

If so should Poles hate Klose and Podolski for refusing to play for our NT? I don't know a single person who'd do like that. They're men who decide their lives and so is Shaqiri and the rest.

In our case they would probably be killed, considering they would play for the country that invaded us.

Brazil has millions football players, while Albania very little, it really harmed our chances of playing in the world cup and guess what. During the elimination phase Shaqiri scored 3 goals, all of them against Albania. It's not like I call him traitor but he is. And it's amazing people love him here because he is Albanian but he himself didn't want to play for Albania. I love him as a player, he is great, but fuccck him.
The funniest thing they say it's Swiss who made him who he is. If it wasn't for his dad to pay for him to go through Basel Academy, he'd be probably waiting at some restaurant or clean some toilets.

Meh I'm against putting nationality above men's will. They made the choice, they lived most of their lives in Germany and they speak better German than Polish so who could blame them?

I was just kidding since I don't really know the relations Poland-Germany nowadays.

But if an Albanian chooses to play for Serbia, oh boy. :D

Well it's not perfect definitely but got much better sine the end of WWII. I don't think it's anywhere as bad as Albania - Serbia so you've got a good point :)

Although, ask them where home is and they'd all tell you Switzerland is.

Albania wouldn't give a damn about them if it wasn't for them being good footballers and they needed them. All the same time while Shaqiri, Xhaka and the rest were raised up in Swiss football teams, coaches on Swiss pitches.
