Poulsen arrived today in Italy and I guess he'll pass the medical in the morning. Will they present him Monday morning? More than possible since the cat's out of the bag.

I'm quite sure the source of the guy who made the play-by-play on Poulsen's signing who also said Tuesday is D-day for a double coup works for Gazzetta or something. I'm pretty sure he's a journalist who stands near Juve headquarters with his camera and that hearing device that let's you listen to conversations from distance. :p

Juve said we'll get a backup keeper so that might be the double whammy. We'll know for sure this week. I personally expect another acquisition after the possible CL qualifying win.

Worst case scenario: Poulsen and Manninger/Roma/backup keeper

the rest is a bonus and should be done; X. Alonso, Ivanovic...

I think when its done and done, we're going to have signed Poulsen and Ivanovic on a loan deal from Chelsea as the surprise this week, although i guess its not much of a surprise. Here's to hoping Xabi is still in the cards....

Does anyone know what our budget is for the mercato? Including what we made for the sales of Nocerino, Lanzafame, and Palladino? How much do we have left to spend on another midfielder, possible LB, and Buffon backup?

Alonso Isn't Coming, Says Sissoko
Mohamed Sissoko revealed that he had a chat with his ex Liverpool teammate Xabi Alonso recently, during which the Spaniard suggested that he has no plans to join him at Juventus.
Alonso looked a good bet to leave Anfield after the end of the season, but the two clubs' inability to agree a transfer fee combined with the Bianconeri's subsequent purchase of Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen means that the probability of a deal now taking place has become decidedly low.

Sissoko, who shined at Juve following his departure from Liverpool in January, substantiated this when Gazzetta dello Sport pressed on the continued Alonso sitauation

"There's no place for him now in Benitez's plans at Liverpool. Alonso looks set to join Juve"

Matt Hughes - London Times football correspondent - speaking on Setanta Sports news this morning. This despite the reported conversation between Sissoko and Alonso.

What the hell are you talking about? Did I say that Alonso will come? I just said that he didn't say that he has no plans to join Juve. And that doesn't mean that he will come. People need to stop reading those goal dot com articles.
