Hey dont say that. Now you'd get slammed for 'trusting the board too much'.They are satanic creatures and it does not suit us heavenly creatures to trust or support them.Afterall,we people know more about football than them, and im sure we'd get their jobs in an instant. All we need to do is drop our Resume at the Juventus office, and we'd be guaranteed 6 serie A titles and 7 CL titles in the next 9 seasons:agree:
LOL ok board = the devil.. got it

but really you would have to be the devil to play mind tricks on the whole football world like that

aren't you guys jumping to conclusions a little bit? If your gonna support the board only when they make good decisions, then wait for an official statement about the transfer. Otherwise, if your a true Juventino, you would support your team, board and all, through thick and thin...
Ive supported the board for the last two years now.If we get Alonso, they deserve to be praised,if they dont get Alonso, then they certainly dont deserve crap for it since the board did all it could do.We offered Liverpool more money, settled personal terms with Alonso's agent...Liverpool were the ones who acted greedy.Having said that,im still fairly confident that Alonso will sign for us.

But,if we get Poulsen as Alonso's replacement, then that would tick me off.I wont mind Stankovic as the player we get over Alonso, but Poulsen would be a bad choice. If he's been bought to replace someone in the current squad, then that is understandable. But being bought as an alternative for Alonso is stupid, and to be honest, pretty impossible. The board isnt so thick.

Latest info i found:

Gazzetta:

On other hand Daily mirror:
It's from Barry thread there....
"...Chief Executive Rick Parry was in Geneva yesterday, where he had informal talks with Juventus officials over the proposed transfer of Xabi Alonso.

The Italian club have feigned disinterest in the Spanish international as Liverpool demand £15m."

-----------------------------

Gazzetta report that Paulsen is not a "bluf"(we offered a 2.5mil wages, there will respond in 48 hours),but still Xabi Alonso is no' 1 target, agreement not yet reached but it's close as the price lowered towards 18.5 mil Euro, because no other teams seriously interested in Xabi.

.Barry Big Step Closer To Anfield
Aston Villa have effectively conceded defeat in their bid to hold on to their skipper Gareth Barry by meeting Liverpool's latest offer with a counter-proposal.

Up until this point, the Birmingham side have stubbornly turned down Liverpool's advances with straight 'no' answers and grudging admissions that they will consider another, but the last few weeks has seen a marked softening in Villa's stance and now they have finally agreed to enter negotiations proper.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill, who was adamant at first that Barry would not be sold under any circumstances, told the Birmingham Mail: "Liverpool have come back to us and we have responded to their proposal with a letter."

"We're still waiting to hear back from Liverpool after putting that proposal to them.

"It's really up to Liverpool. I really don't know how it's going to work out at the moment.

"I'm sure there will be some sort of resolution at some stage or another."

The latest speculation suggests that the proposed inclusion of Steve Finnan still promises to be a key component in the deal, with the Claret-and-Blues reportedly set on receiving an overall value of £17 million, while Liverpool are trying their best to keep that number closer to the £15m mark.

Things getting complicated again, Aston Villa wants 21 Mln for Barry. This saga is really frustrating.

(Foto: Flash Press / Grazia Neri)

O'Neill is starting to annoy me. He acts all nice, like he's cooperating for a transfer, but all he does is putting ridiculous prices for Barry. He's kind of smart, though. The pressure is on Liverpool, if they don't sign him they'll look foolish. Yet, he still proposes ridiculous prices.

I hope 'Pool are stupid enough to buy Barry at such a price, but I doubt it. Anyway, Crouch seems to be sold to Pompey, so maybe that will change things.

I hate these sagas. Juventus has to wait until Portsmouth buys Crouch so that Pool has enough money to buy Barry from Villa, so that they can sell Xabi to us. :claire:
