It seems that that figure if its indeed correct comes to about 48k a week which would do me nicely but coampared to other footballers of his calibre, is not realy a lot is it , Keane gets 92k a week whilst Vieira gets something like 70k

I was reading Juve were trying to increase Camo's salary to 600k a year

I just hope if and when Davids leaves ppl on here turn on him like they did Zz as Juve will always make the players into the bad guys and print out all sort of rubbish that the player might have or might have not said

I am no fan of Moggi and his cronies, i just like the players and the club , the higher heirarchy leave a little to be desired imo when it comes to dealing with ppl

As for turning departing players into villains, you are right, but there has been at least one big exception, don't you think?

i would increase his wage by that much. he is worth it and deserves it as well.

one problem we have to be careful of is not doing the same for other players at the club. Camo's wage is a joke for an international player who did well last season for us.

so, lets pay him that, but make sure we justice to others as well.

3 million euro to 3.8 million euro is 800000 euro yeah?

he is worth it though....but if lippi intends on benching him all game, then forget it i suppose.

Well he wants 3.8 mil € for three years. Thats almost 12 mil € for a 30 year old player. Who's to guarantee us he'll be as good next year or that he wont get injured or something. I personaly would give him 2.5 mil € for one year with an option to extend it for 1 more. Thats it. He should show a little more gratitude towards Juve. He has done a lot for the team, but it has done more for him. They saved him from Milan, revived his career, gave him the oppertunity to improve, and, nobody seems to mention this, stood by him when he was suspended for doping.
I agree with what you said, the most with part in bold text.

So my anwer is: no way.

2.5m a season is a fair amount for me, especially for a great player like davids.

but if he's bitter about it and only staying for the money then we should forget it.some relationships cannot be saved, and his relationship with juve may be beyond saving.

Looking at Davids' ability he deserves it fully. The problem is that his role in the first team is rather limited- I would think by the team's tactics and Juventus' style of play which is not as free as the Dutch NT. He is able going forward and if only people would watch him play for his team(bar the last game) their minds just might change.

I've always complained that Davids has never been given enough freedom and as a result people have underestimated his ability. He has sacrificed much playing for the team in terms of his game. For the board it would not be feasible to pay a player who does what Davids does, but looking at Davids he deserves it fully.

true, we dont want him if he isnt committed and on good terms with lippi and moggi.

he wont perform well if no one talks to him etc...

48K a week for Davids is perfectly alright. Everything is still shrouded though for we really don't know what is going on. Time will tell.

I disagree. I mean, of course, Davids is a fantastic player and he is constrained by the Juve style, but I also think that his contributions to Juve merit the pay raise that he is asking for. I will go right out and say it right now, Davids is the third most imprtant player on this team, right after Buffon and Neddy. He deserves to be paid like it.

oh yeah. messenger of the truth

About Davids though, I somehow wish that he could be given a more free-role position in the team. Something like a central, slightly more defensive Nedved.

All those dropped jaws would give dentists a jolly good time...

What about Del Piero? He's much more important.

More important than what? Del Piero is just a forward, we could easily replace him, and in fact have done so in the past. Davids is less easily replaced, espeically considering he is the only left sided midfielder on the entire team...

i struggle to understand del piero. i mean he has great potential. but it doesnt show a lot of the time.

from his game i dont know whether to think of him as great or just another attacker....

we are all looking at roma now....
