Well, it's actually been clear for a while now that Glazer's plan involved making Man Utd pay for his deal. There's no way in hell he can raise the money unless Man Utd fans go to every game, and Man Utd win every title for the next few years.

At Arsenal, we had to take on a debt of over 400 million pounds to finance our new stadium, and that is spread over the next 22 or so years. Also, our profits are expetced to rocket when we move, and we are also turning Highbury into an apartment complex. Our debt isn't srtictly tied to our performances on the pitch. So we are actually in better shape than Man Utd.

And to think that Ferguson once said that with Arsenal's debt, they could drop a division or two and go into administration. That chicken has come home to roost.
