gray i dont think jim carey is that bad even when being serious .. it still makes me laugh so he is good and toby mcguire isnt da da guy in sea biscuit and spiderman ... hes not bad too we are talking worse here they are abad but not worse in a category

Yes but this doesnt take away from the fact that he was terrible and such a huge movie (its star wars FFS!) should have hired a much better actor for such an important part instead of blowing money on visual effects. Ewan Mcgregor was pretty dire too.

I don't buy that. He was playing a man who'd been taught to tightly control his emotions from a very young age. What's he supposed to do? I think he's played that part well, within its strict limitations.

I actually admire Ewan McGregor's diversity. Not that many actors these days can play the lead role in a musical, a Jedi knight, a hotshot journalist, a Ranger and a skinny heroin addict... and still be taken seriously
