When there's too much political pressure, they tend to ban one of the two parties. South and North Korea playing each other during the World Cup in a peak moment of political tension between the two nations does seem a little unwise anyway.
But that's what made Cold War Olympics fun between people in the US and USSR.

Sure, it got a little out of hand with all the boycotting and all. But the USSR bball team beating USA and the USA hockey team beating the USSR wouldn't be nearly as momentous if not for the political spiciness added to the mix.

Made England-Argentina a lot better too ;).

But quite frankly I don't care about the both Koreas when it comes to football. I'd prefer North Korea, simply because South Korea have gone so way beyond everything that is acceptable for a nation when it comes to football and I will always despise them. But North Korea can go to hell too.

I doubt they would let South Korea play North Korea if it happened by the way. I'm surprised North Korea is still in the thing. Would have been the perfect excuse to give Ireland the spot they never deserved.
They recently played each other in the qualifiers for this world cup.

It is definitely, but i still don't think they would stop them from playing each other in the World Cup.
