serious question, how many at least very good players do england have? i mean not hyped, i mean really good, top10-top20 in his respective position.

kane is an obvious tier 1 player, bellingham is either one or will be one very soon. i liked shaw a few times in the nt, united is an obvious shithole so won't comment on his club career. henderson was pretty reliable for years, now he's 30-something and looks like he lost his edge.

who else? trent is elite going forward, but a flawed defender. mount has a good engine, saka can dribble and run, neither of them are elite though

i think that if this team wins anything then southgate deserves a statue

I don't think many teams have numerous elite players at the moment. France is the closest there is but there aren't any teams filled with world class players like France 98, Brazil 02, Italy 06, Spain 10.

For the US defeat and draw were exactly the same. They would’ve had to beat Iran even if they lost, and given that Wales is so shit to beat England that would have been enough. But beating England would’ve given the US the upper hand.
