What an atrocious miss by Cornelius

This World cup should've been hosted by a North African nation

Countries with genuine football culture and way better representative for the Arab world
The Gulf countries love football as well. They are just generally shit at playing it.

A big part of that may be that their climate just isn't suited for it.

It would be like Belgium hosting ski World Championships.
Nah. Gulf countries prefer to outsource their football players as part of the servant class. ;)

To them, PSG is like hiring a nanny.

During the UAE season between October and May, temperatures are between 15 and 35C, that’s not bad at all. The UK got as hot this year during their season iirc

This is also largely not true. Qatar is the least representative of the Gulf countries in this regard. They have a large chunk of foreign players. But Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain etc. are mostly represented by local players. It doesn't help that apart from Saudi, the rest have tiny ass local population and does not give a path to citizenship.

Who are the favorites anyway?

Cant be Brazil either then, cause Brazil lost to Argentina last year in copa america final played in Brazil.

Most of the european teams have clear faults. No team is in ideal condition.
Spain or Germany imo have the best chance.
