It is what it is
this was the worst loss the team has ever had on the WC. Don't want to justify but the main reason is them being under extreme pressure of what's going on inside the country. They didn't sing the anthem in a form of protest, Some of the Iranian spectators called the players "dishonorable" during the game and they didn't have their main goalkeeper.
And ...
but anyway should Leave politics out of football. we loss.

Qatar seem void of culture.
Any culture is imported and buried in stadium concrete.

Loving the Budweiser banners btw.

But is it really all that different from NASCAR advertising beer on race cars, as if to suggest you should drive fast and drink?

aren't those ads region dependent though

like with serie a broadcasts, those might be "virtual" banners that change depending on the market :boh:
This is true.

We shouldn't have conceded the penalty, that was really poor. First half was excellent. Still a 50/50 chance of going through. I want to see a performance against England.
We need a point against England so badly but I can't see it happening. Like the Italy that you and Dru like to shit on for some reason, this team has the same problem of converting chances, but with the added handicap of being an overall step lower in quality. Been like this for a while now. We all know we're good to concede AT LEAST one goal per game against even mid-level opposition, but I don't feel that heart like I did in 2010 or 2014 for example. Maybe Reyna will change things, who knows. Gotta hope that slimy fuck Bale slips up too now.

Great assist, but Pulisic was really disappointing today too. He messed up quite a lot going forward and his set pieces were subpar. With how much everyone talks him up I really hope the pressure isn't getting to him.

Just watched that USA's foul leading to the pen, what the fuck was Zimmerman thinking? What can you even be hoping to achieve with a tackle like that

We were the better team, IMO. They didn’t look like scoring from open play, so that just makes the penalty even worse. We don’t convert a lot and I’ve always had a concern with the CB’s, so we’ll need to figure out a way to open them up. Maybe Reyna or Pules can be a false 9. Aaronson will be a must for me against England to pressure the defense. I too thought the set pieces were shit.

I think we need a draw against England as well. With a loss against them, I’m afraid they will shit the bed against Wales for a draw, then we’d be out. Has Wales and England played each other recently? Anyone know their history?

The Lebron of Soccer.
Unfair tbh. As much as I dislike Lebum, he has 4 rings to his name (and 6 losses in the finals), so he knows how to win (and lose).

Shitty WC so far. Mediocre ball and crap atmosphere. Maybe, just maybe, it might get better in the KOs.

Fuck England (and to a lesser extent Germany).
