Real Madrid won those titles because they are the best team in the world and have insane ref help.

Not to say Ronaldo was not great in every CL because he definitely was. However you guys should have the same standards when comparing players as if Messi has won his CL titles when Barca was the best without scoring in the CL final or semis you would go on forever about how Iniesta and Xavi carry him.

Iniesta and Xavi were carrying Messi so much that Messi actually made 30% of all assists in that era add to that all those scored goals.Thst "carry" thing is pure idiocy.

How much time has passed since Argentina produced a top midfielder, who wasn't a DM? In 2010 they only had a 35 yo Veron. In 2014 they had noone (which makes their result quite extraordinary). In 2018 they still don't have a playmaker.
You have to go all the way back to mid 2000s to find Riquelme, Aimar and Veron.
