I think England would beat Poland if they played tomorrow. Do I think they deserve to be ranked higher? No. Both Poland and England have been doing good, but (Imo) Poland did better if we look at stats.

Poland only secured high seeding and rank because they game the FIFA system. They completely avoid friendlies and play as little games as possible, mainly competitive ones only, so they can get high seeding and avoid top nations in upcoming groups.

This French team is a prime example of why you need players playing in their natural position. Pavard is often in lots of space but they either don't want to pass to him or he goes backwards when he gets it. So it makes France narrow and Australia don't need to worry about defending that area too much.

France need some width and their midfield to step up.

Australia are doing an excellent job.
