Portugal going on a Euro 2016 run again is not out of question at all

They'd be dreaming Russia top the group and then possibly set up a QF matchup with Croatia. If they do, i fancy Portugal to take it tbh. Portugal are one hell of a jammy team.

Their whole team is worse than 2016. Nani, Pepe, Quaresma, Sanches, Gomes are all half the players they were 2 years ago. And they needed a hell lot of luck to win Euros, this is WC

Croatia - Belgium final would be awesome.
Croatia look like a proper team, they were my favs in 2016 already but they balkan'd. Maybe this time around

Lelgium? no way
We'd get beat so hard I'd rather not play.

We have more talent on paper, but my god we're not a team at all. Everything that we don't have Croatia do.

Portugal being weaker is an acceptable argument but they needed luck to win Euros is such an unconvincing argument. As if 'luck' doesnt matter in world cups. Especially if they potentially end up facing the same opponents(Croatia).

Half the players you mentioned in your list were subs at best for Portugal. Sanches was a bright young player who came off the bench but Nani and Gomes were hardly important in their Euro 2016 run. Its their defensive organization that took them all the way to the final and they're trying to do the same now as well.

I dint mean to say they'll win the world cup, but making a semi-final is not out of question at all to me considering my above scenario.

If Portugal make the semis, it would be a resounding success for them with this squad. No way they're going all the way though, let me clarify.

Then we agree, I just dont see them winning the whole thing, they're nowhere near good enough, too many washed up players

Serbia are going to choke hard. Bonnie Rotten style.
Nah, I really think swiss will choke today. Expectations and selfconfidence too high here. Like 8 years ago, after theyve beaten Spain first and then lost against Chile and Honduras. It's the same book :sergio:

Serbia to win 2:1 (Mitrovic, Tadic, Rodriguez penalty after foul on Embolo) mark my words.

Behrami to get red carded like against Vidal 8yrs ago.

I read on my local media that apparently media from Buenos Aires are reporting that the Argie players told Sampaoli to hit the road and don't sit on the bench for their game against Nigeria. Meh sources, but still

Croatia will have a hard time with suspensions though, Mandzukic, Rebic, Rakitic and Vrsaljko are one yellow away from suspensions and the first two are pretty reckless. No way these 4 or older guys like Modric all start against Iceland. If Iceland gets a result against Nigeria, Id say its out of Argentinas hands

France look absolutely lethal. They might have struggled both games, but fact is they are incredibly cynical and have Griezmann and Mbappe.

And then there's Pogba who is having a big, yet silent impact this tournament.

France's thing is that they don't have a leader on the pitch, Vieira, Didier or Zidane type of player.

Incredibly talented squad but pretty much clowns, specially Griezmann, Pogba, Mbappe, Dembele and few others.

Croatia - Belgium final would be awesome.
The only team I'm rooting for is Belgium, I'd love to see them go far.

What a beautiful lineup they've got.
