I'd place Brazilian Ronaldo over Messi in best of all time argument right now. By a country mile. Zidane, Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona, Puskas for sure... I'd probably place Beckenbauer and Romario ahead of him too. If Messi goes his whole career without a WC knockout goal that should (but likely won't ) severely tarnish his legacy.
