FI: New Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has sprained his ankle, missing the PSG game along with Federico Bernardeschi, Douglas Costa and Daniele Rugani.

The Bianconeri were beaten 2-1 by Barcelona in the International Champions Cup, when Szczesny made his debut in the second half.

However, the former Roma and Arsenal goalkeeper sprained his left ankle and will be evaluated over the next few days, confirmed a Juve statement.

He had long interview while on international break. Said he decided himself to join Juve at the beggining of 2017. He asked his agent to find if Juve is interested in him and he found out that Juve was also working on his transfer. Other than that he said he is really impressed with Gigi and the whole team, that he never worked as hard as right now. He also said there are no guarantees regarding matches he has to play in his contract, but said he will play in plenty of serie A fixtures.

He looks really happy to be here and he pushed himself for thiz transfer. He also said he didnt come here to sit on the bench, but achieve big things.

Very nice interview. Lots of warm words for Juventus and Gigi. You could sense that there is a very big, ambitious and long-term project at Juve by Szczęsny's words. Also, we definitely won't be looking at other goalie to replace the great Buffon.
