Unfortunately, not his fault that Tici made him among the highest paid goalkeepers in the world. Apparently he was supposed to get a wage increase in his contract this season which is ridiculous lol.

If he had a reasonable wage, he'd still be playing for us I suppose. Nothing but love and respect for this guy though. Sometimes harshly criticized but it's never easy to replace a GOAT like Buffon.

Really feel bad for this guy, very sad. Should’ve had a proper send off, much love for what he contributed to the club. Many great clutch moments that kept Juve in the game in decisive matches.

7 years
252 appearances
22,517 minutes
103 clean sheets

If it’s any comfort- he’s had a far more successful career than almost everyone else still in our team.

You feel bad for a guy that got paid 4m to retire? Don't worry he can wipe his tears with his million.

I like Tek seems like a good guy but I will never feel sorry for a professional footballer. They get paid a crazy amount of money for the best job in the world.

So 4M was the definite amount? Not at all questioning you Stevie but with all the false reporting with Euro soccer feels like listening to US political reporting at times.

Look, I agree seemed like a good guy who played well for Juve, but wish more honestly would be included coming out of players mouths. Tek told the fans he understood wasn't in Juve's plans so would obliged and kindly leave. Guess we just have to read in between the lines that Tek forgot to include he needed to get as much money as possible before exiting.

Look a contract is a contract so Tek deserves to get paid! Just if he was doing good by Juve he would have accepted an offer to go somewhere else. Tek is still too good for other clubs not to want him. I think the SA deal could have been made but Tek + wife probably showed no interest in going there. If I was SA management and saw that lack of interest, I think FU, we don't want/need you!

Look by tmarket has 6M value and IMO that's a slight bargain because plenty of older GK's still playing at high level. Forget SA offer that we would have been +5M. Can't tell me some other club wouldn't have payed him 2-3M salary. Okay at 2M salary with no transfer fee it's an even swap with us still owing Tek 4M.

So Tek I believe wins out in this deal. Now he's a complete free agent to go anywhere he +wife desires. Him waiting this long in transfer period to go somewhere, which we still don't know where, tells me he has very DERSIRE/GRINTA left in him to play high-level soccer. IMO if he did would have been more urgent in transferring somewhere to get situated with new club being ready for week 1 match.

So for me Tek, please no tearful goodbye letters AKA Alex Sandro from you on the way out! Just leave and don't come back 10 years from now for some reunion!
