do you think that Atlético will sell Costa for 30-35M? they sold Falcao for +60M, Costa will leave for at least 50M

and that's a really $#@!ty way to spend 70M, Menez and Nani? rather keep Pogba
Didn't actually mean to put Nani in, he ws a typo.

Menez is free, and he would be good enough back up for either wing. Which makes him ideal.

Free, normal wages, not too old, serie A experience. A real depth signing.

Well on counters he will cut through the heart of the defense. In possession he will start wide and cut in but if closed down he can go wide and cross still. I mean, he's a great player, he can do mostly anything that a winger desires.

But this is major wishlist thinking anyway so I'm going to stop lol. Problem with using Pogba money on stars is their wages mostly I think.

If Rodriguez is as good as you all say he is, well if I had 70M I'd invest it into him, Mandzukic and probably a RW like Nani. And a back up CM.

IN: Rodriguez, Mandzukic, Nani, CM
OUT: Pogba, Quagliarella, Vucinic, Isla, Motta, PDC

Extend Pirlo's contract.

Sanchez would be very good I think. And not unreasonable.

The struggle i'm having, is do we play Tevez as a wide forward or do we play him centrally in a 4-3-3 and get two top wingers.

I'm not so sure Tevez as a CF in a 4-3-3 would be all that great.

See without Pogba there is little incentive now to play a 4-3-3 because the 4-3-3 was always designed so both Vidal and Pogba could go forward.

Now, you could move Tevez to CAM with 2 wingers, Vidal as a DM that goes up and down and a place holder like Marchisio

Vidal-Marchisio
Nani-Tevez-Reus
Llorente

Might as well go full fap mode.

Can I redo my 70M wish list. :D

Draxler 40M, Nani 15M, Rodriguez 15M

Buffon
Lichtsteiner Barzagli Chiellini Rodriguez
Vidal Marchisio
Nani Tevez Draxler
Llorente

I love Draxler.

People are hesitant about a 4-2-3-1 because Vidal offers so much going forward. But considering we're in fantasy mode (And rightly so if Pogba is subject to an oil money bidding war) It would be best to slightly limit Vidals attacking output, in favour of top class wingers. Imo

That's a decent line up. Replace Llorente with the best available striker. Because if we're gonna sell Pogba for mad money, we might as well aim big.

Our board is not stupid. A kid like Pogba doesn't appears too often.

Such a young, talented, charismatic boy is something special, on top of that, he's French. PSG will do everything they can to sign him because of that. He will be the insignia of PSG for years and years, and attract a lot of new fans, advertising, popularity, etc.

If we sell him for less than €80M then we're dumb.

Okay so, lets say we sell him for €90M.

Who would you guys like to get?

I'd enquire about Suarez

If pool don't make the CL he could probably go for 50-60M

that leaves us 30M before player sales and our summer budget.

Buy Rodriguez for 20M max.

use that 10M + sales + our budget to bring in depth AND a starting Winger.

I'd like something like this:

Ricardo Rodríguez - 15M
Xherdan Shaqiri - 20M (left footed, good workrate, decent right foot, could play where Tévez doesn't want to and very young so when Berardi is ready he could move to the left wing).
Gündogan/Pjanic - 30M
Some talented young striker ready to replace Llorente when he gets old - 10-15M

Probably that's how I'd like to spend it.

Buffon
Lichtsteiner-Barzagli-Chiellini-Rodríguez
Marchisio
Vidal---Gündogan
Shaquiri-----------Tévez
Llorente

RicRod and Licht bombing down the flanks

Vidal and Marchisio breaking up plays, Vidal getting license to roam

Tevez hastling the opposition, two deadly wingers waiting to break.

A physical presence in the box a la Llorente/Mandzukic, waiting to pounce

Pirlo's Beard and MikeM make some really good points that i just realised. If we do sell Pogba would it be better to switch to a 4-2-3-1 since we esientially weakened our midfield or do we play a 4-3-3 and either get another top cm or use asa inplace of asa.

If we were to sell Pogba for 90m I would go for either of these two formations:

In: Mandzukic(18m), sanchez(20m), nani(15m), back up cm, lb

------------------Buffon
Licht----barzagli------chiellini------lb
-----------vidal------marchisio
Sanchez--------tevez---------nani
----------------llorente

Or

In:
Mandzukic(18m), sanchez(20m), lb, cm

------------------Buffon
Licht----barzagli------chiellini------lb
-------vidal----pirlo----marchisio
---sanchez-------llorente------tevez

I think given Pogba's potential, he will only get better. The management should not sell him unless Pogba expresses a desire to leave for a more lucrative contract elsewhere and we can garner a monster transfer fee (such as the 60m + Verrati being rumoured).

The thing is, there's every chance that Pogba doesn't sign a new contract. And when it has a year to go, he expreses his desire to leave. At that point we'd be lucky to get 30M for him

The risk is too big, we can get a once in a lifetime cash deal for a player we picked up for free. Or we can hope he has a change of heart and signs a new deal.

Our whole club has begged him to stay in the media, he's still not re-signed. No point risking it.

I'd take mega-money in the Summer. It may be our only chance to get enough money to get the players we need, without penny pinching for the next 5 years.

I'd say 30M for Sanchez. Which shouldn't be an issue with Pogbas sale + other sales + our own budget.
