I might be imagining it but I swear he used to play on the left for United a lot.

I'd imagine he wouldn't be much different, but if we play Tevez on the left then it doesn't matter

Basically, Tevez should get a free role when we're on the ball. So long as he drops back and covers his flank when we're defending. So we resemble a 4-5-1 when we're off the ball. We need to leave Llorente higher up the pitch too as an outlet, instead of him running back into our box. It's just overkill.

At least we will be able to counter and break from deep with a Winger like Nani. Watching the likes of Isla try and burst up the pitch makes me physically sick.

I was thinking if Nani can play on the left and preform relatively well we could line up something like this:

--------------Buffon
Licht--Barz---Chiellini/Ogbonna---ASa/lb
----vidal------marchisio---pogba
------tevez---------------lw/Nani
----------------llorente

So essientially we would line up as a 4-3-3. Llorente would stay as the main cf and Nani would stay wide. Tevez on the other hand would shift between the right flank and as an ss or as another cf. We put Asa as lb and make him stay in his position and don't allow him to push too forward so that Nani or the winger could stay forward and allow him to be ready to counter.

We know Licht has the lungs to push forward so we allow him to push forward and act almost as a rwb with tevez pushing through the middle if he isn't on the flank.

I thought of something like that. So to sum it up we have asa who stays locked in the back while the winger stays wides and pushing forward and tevez drifts around the right flank and the middle

The Gazzetta dello Sport write this morning that Andrea Ranocchia is a step closer to joining Borussia Dortmund.

It was revealed earlier this week that the German side were keen on the Inter defender, and the Milan-based paper have insisted on Wednesday that both clubs have agreed on an €11m price tag.:lol:

Reports that Fredy Guarin has refused to turn up to Inter training this morning are apparently false.

It was revealed earlier on Wednesday that the Colombia international had decided not to go to Appiano Gentile today in reaction to the club refusing to let him leave for Juventus.

But Sky Sport Italia have claimed that the Nerazzurri, have, in fact, allowed the Colombia international to have two days’ leave.:spliff:

There are no ideal wing backs available tbh
For our 3-5-2 to work to the maximum, we would need two wing backs who offer a lot defensively but are also very capable in attack. They need to be able to make space on the wing and actually beat there man to get space for a cross (unlike licht and Asa)
Who really fits this bill? Cuadrado? He's not going to happen, even if it did, he's better as a winger any way
So basically we're chasing imaginary players if we want to make this 3-5-2 as good as it can be.
Agree. 3-5-2 is too demanding for players.
4-3-3 is much, much simpler.

Just look at Conte's comment:
“We don’t play to go on the counter-attack, as we don’t have players of those characteristics. We always try to get the ball, keep possession and hurt our opponents, but we very rarely go on the counter. Our approach was the same that we had in Turin and we only got stretched out on the goal.”

If that isn't another cry for a winger than I really don't know what is.
After a bad preformance or a lose he always has these small comments that just is him crying for a type of player that is essentially a winger. I really believe the rumors that Conte wants Nani and I have a feeling he would shine here.
How and where Nani can fit in 3-5-2?
