Assumptions.

There's going to be a wider market in the summer with a lot of possibly better options opening up and we'd have better funds too.
Like Mata? :howler:

We never spend much. I don't know why people expect us to splash over 20mln on a player because that's not our transfer policy. Last time it was for Diego/Melo and nobody after.

He indeed is, but I don't think he'll come on a definitive transfer, probably a lan, maybe a loan with option to buy.
if I am not mistaking, he recently signed a new contract with ManU so if he comes, it won't be cheap so a loan or a loan with option to buy, seems most logic IMO
:agree: Mata to Man U is kinda unnecessary, considering their problems lie in Central midfield and that horrible defense. Wtf are they thinking? :howler:

With more concurrence, more suitors for the players and you know what happend when we face competition for a signing we fold, if there's a slightest chance to sign someone like Nani or Lamela this window we should take it, even if it means overpaying a couple of millions, we can't get them to accept playing here if there's offers for them from the PSG, Monaco, RM, Barca......

It's about securing a quality winger for the next season.

You can't wait for the summer if good option is available now.

We should not rely on Asamoah/Peluso and Licht/Isla to be our wingers and provide good crosses. We need wingers.

But ,do we have the funds for that right now ? Going by our past January window dealings,i wouldnt think so.

True, but I feel that Moyes wants to calm the fans down with a big name signing.
And let's be honest, a player with the quality of Mata, is not something they have in the midfield.
Valencia, Nani, Young, Kagawa, Januzaj, good players, but no Mata.

Usual winger (like Di Maria for example) can't play wingback in 352 like Asa and Licht.
Who can u suggest for that roles as and instant upgrade of ours WBs?

I don't know, but if you believe the reports, we seem to be really interested in Nani, so all we should do is cross our fingers that Marotta can make it happens.
Well Marotta can only do so much even if he's done a brilliant job,he's not a wizard or anything especially when money normally isnt available in January.

Realistically we'd be looking at a loan + option to buy deal, but chances of that happening dont look very likely.

Nani cant play in EL.We dont need him for Serie A.

Another attacker isnt needed if Vucinic is staying. If changes are to be made, better do it in the summer.
He can play in EL.

Even If Vucinic stays he should come. Nani RWF, Vucinic LWF so there's no conflict but then Vucinic is going to leave anyway.

Ship off Giovinco.

@Bianconero81,Diacunti has reached agreement with Guangzhou :tuttosport: But both clubs yet to agree a fee.If they do that,he is going to fuck off there :tuttosport: Lovely news.

The negotiation continues, Guangzhou isn’t giving up on acquiring Diamanti. The Chinese club has reached an agreement with the player, but now need to convince Bologna who isn’t changing their request for 10 million euro, which would then be reinvested on mercato. Davide Lippi is in Bologna working on getting the deal done. Diamanti’s future could be far from Italy.

There are no ideal wing backs available tbh

For our 3-5-2 to work to the maximum, we would need two wing backs who offer a lot defensively but are also very capable in attack. They need to be able to make space on the wing and actually beat there man to get space for a cross (unlike licht and Asa)

Who really fits this bill? Cuadrado? He's not going to happen, even if it did, he's better as a winger any way

So basically we're chasing imaginary players if we want to make this 3-5-2 as good as it can be.

Just look at Conte's comment:

“We don’t play to go on the counter-attack, as we don’t have players of those characteristics. We always try to get the ball, keep possession and hurt our opponents, but we very rarely go on the counter. Our approach was the same that we had in Turin and we only got stretched out on the goal.”

If that isn't another cry for a winger than I really don't know what is.

After a bad preformance or a lose he always has these small comments that just is him crying for a type of player that is essentially a winger. I really believe the rumors that Conte wants Nani and I have a feeling he would shine here.
