Vucinic + 20m is too much imo. Max I'd do would be Vucinic + 15m tbh. Lamela is very good and talented but he's nowhere near WC just yet.

I hope Marotta brings him. It won't be this month that's for sure but there's nothing wrong with preparing it for the summer.

A loan with an option to buy for say 18-20m + Vucinic going the other way seems fine to me.It depends on how high you rate him and for me he has a higher ceiling than Di Maria.Its an investment for the long term hence why i strongly suggested Jovetic signing in the summer.

Di Maria isn't the only solution. There are other quality wingers around that might be available, Lavezzi for instance. There was some rumor of his alleged departure. Yes long term investment of course, by all means, but I'm always skeptical when clubs buy rather unproven youngsters for big amounts.

But we're not paying only in cash here. Vucinic can fetch us 10m at least on the market if there's need to sell him. A bit too much for my liking (paying 30m for Lamela) and the likes of Di Maria might be available for that sum, probably next summer. Di Maria is superior player don't you think?

You're pushing it too much imo. Vucinic can give us 10m at most not at least. Also Di Maria won't be available for 30m. It'll be the same as Higuain's case. RM won't force him out of the club and he'll go for 35m easily imo. Just watch PSG, Monaco or Chelsea come to an idea they need another winger. It's always the same.

Lamela doesn't attract too much interest right now and yes there's a reason for that. He's not a proven player outside of Italy and has no appeal. I agree 30m is too much but 25m (Vucinic + 15m) is acceptable imo. We get the younger player with potential out of the deal.

It's better to overpay a couple of million for Lamela than Biabiany or Cerci. Lamela can play our style of football. He's no injury prone but his character is somewhat weak. It's up to Conte to make him a man if he comes here.

15M plus Vucinic should do it. Any more is too much but there is no point stalling the deal "incase a better player becomes available" because we rarely even enter bidding wars so even if Di Maria is an option we will just pussy out in the market. Might aswell get Lamela and try this 433 with Tevez floating around in a free role

I still would take Lamela ahead of Nani and I'm one of the few here who want him. Lamela is more consistent imo and with time he'll get only better in the right environment.

I agree with alot of your points and your statements hereare true. Why try and wait and see if we can get a player like Di Maria for sure will cost atleast 30+m while we can possibly get a very talent and promising player who we know is capable of proucing in Italy. By getting Lamela you solve two problems.
: you get rid of Vucinic( not saying he is hurting the club but we manage to getvmoney for him) aand we get the wide player we need.

It makes sense. You want an established player worth 30-40m over a player who has so much talent for around 15 and getting rid of player who isnt needed.
