we dont need to sell any defender for a back4

lichtsteiner - barzagli - chiellini - asamoah
caceres - bonucci - ogbonna - peluso

isla is not needed if we are switching to a back four so the only other position he could play is backup CM.
litch/caceres ------ barza/bonu------chiell/ogbonn-----kolarov/peluso

that is how our defence should look like.....perfect balance of depth and quality... If 3 of our cbs get injured then we would put caceres in centre back.

I like a 4-3-1-2 type set up.

Buffon
Lich Barzagli Chiellini kolarov
Vidal pogba asamoah
Pastore
llorente Tevez

Pastore is proven in Serie A and I reckon if given a key role he will be good. Kolarov I think is the only option we could get.

May have to sacrifice a marchisio or bonucci type to make this all happen.

Big-name Italian duo fight to land misfiring attacker.

Tottenham Hotspur are already making plans to ship misfiring forward Erik Lamela back to Serie A when the winter transfer window opens again for business next month, according to reports in the Daily Express.

The Argentina international has only been at White Hart Lane since last summer, when Lamela originally joined the north London club from Serie A giants AS Roma for an initial transfer fee of £25.8 million, although that could eventually rise to as much as a club-record £30m depending on certain add ons.

However, in the short time that the wide man has been in the capital, Lamela has found it desperately hard to settle, and now it is understood that the palyer’s agent, Pablo Sabbag, has already started to enter into negotiations with Serie A outfit Inter Milan about the possibility of signing his client in January.

Meanwhile, Italian champions Juventus are also said to be interested in snapping the 21-year-old up, with the Bianconeri understood to even be prepared to offer long-term Spurs target Mirko Vucinic as part of any deal for the South American, a factor that could ultimately tip the balance in the Turin side’s favour.

Not the sort of link to hold in high regard, but I posted it anyway because it makes sense

Tottenham have been interested in Vucinic for a while

Lamela has been pretty useless for them

Juve want wide men

Tottenhams striking options are shite.

Therefore we have ourselves a realistic scenario.

Meh, not really. Mirko's by far their most complete attacker if he goes, they are invested in Townsend and they clearly don't need Lamela. Plus, they're struggling to create chances and scoring goals has been rare for them.

They spent like 30M on a poacher with nobody to supply him.

Seems very do-able to me.

Also, they're not in a position to go after any World Class attackers.

real madrid wanted 28M from us for him early in the summer mercato but we didnt want to offer more than 24M (if i remember correctly) so why couldnt we get di maria for 25M-30M???

Jorginho co-own
(padoin + half bouy + 2M-3M for half jorginho)
That's way too much for half Jorginho

Menez would be ok for now. Until we can upgrade on him

We'd have Tevez, Llorente and Quags also.

So let's say we make 35M from sales. We spend 25 of that on Di Maria

Menez wouldn't come into play because we could easily afford him now, or even wait until the Summer.

We'd have 10M left + 15-20M of our actual budget. We either look for another expensive Winger or we just spend some of that budget getting more depth and call it a day. Either way it's affordable so long as we sell our players the correct way. Not just pawning them off to Atalanta for 3M + another Padoin.
What about the LB?

When is the last time when we got more from sales than what we lost buying?
summer 2013 :p

LB. Kolarov or Coentrao. I imagine either would be affordable.

Coentrao was apparantly on the brink of a loan move to United. Madrid don't appear to be too keen on keeping him around

Or, we raid the financially doomed Cagliarli and put some faith into Murru.

Taison and or Alex Teixeira from Shaktar Donetsk. Does anybody even remember the damage they caused to us in Torino?
???

Taison hadn't even signed for Shaktar at the time m8. He was signed as a replacement for Willian, who's currently at Chelsea, maybe you were thinking about him

If we get Lamela for a good deal then I'd too be down for the 4-3-3

Or maybe we could work a 3-4-3

Buffon

Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini

Licht - Vidal - Pogba - Kwadwo

Lamela - Llorente - Tévez

With Tévez being mostly free to roam in the pitch I'd like to see a deeper LWB than Asamoah, or maybe put Lamela on the left. It all depends on where he is more comfortable and gives us his best

But tbh I wouldn't like to leave the 3 man midfield, I consider it one of our biggest strenghts and in a 2-man midfield I doubt that Pogba and Vidal would contribute as much to our offensive as they do now. So, is it worth it?

I thought his father was his agent. The Roma forum has been moaning about the father since Spurs were rumored to be interested.
