Pass stats are misleading tbh
Chiellini normally has well over 90% passing, it all depends on what you attempt
They may be misleading, but when you compare for instance central defender and box-to-box midfielder. But I agree with you to some extent, it all depends on what you are trying to do, and where are you attempting to pass.
this doesn't mean anything, I'm talking about killer through balls.
Ok, but you didn't write it down. Zach mentioned only "shor pass ability" and I agreed with him. Killer balls is different category and we have to take into account that Marchisio usually has a lot defensive duties on his head as well. It restricts him to very specific, defensive role in our midfield. From this position it is really hard to provide plenty of through balls during the match, especially that we like to hold the ball and there is very liitle space on opponent's half to play such balls.

These are terribly misleading. Just yesterday Pogba played in more defensive role, taking as little risk as possible and his passing accuracy was staggering 97%. It all depends where you play and how audacious your attempts are. Usually Vidal and Pogba are the ones to take more risks in their attempts, while Marchisio chooses to pass to whoever is the nearest.

Are you discounting Pirlo because he is injured or because he is rarely high enough up the pitch to play them?

I also think Vucinic is pretty good in that regard.
Yeah, i was looking at players who are relevant for the position.

Vucinic can do, but is a forward. cant really play vucinic and tevez and llorente cause of balance and space.

Pirlo is good at it, but is far to deep on the field. i saw him at cam once the past 3 years. couple of serie a games ago, when they were manmarking so he moved to their penaltybox.
But cant play pirlo as cam anymore. far to slow to be effective

Pogba, did not attempt a single tricky ball, and wasent under the least of pressure. And was in the deep role. Lets make fair comparisons please

That was my point. When you're not allowed to take much risks your passing tends to be more accurate thus Marchisio, who usually plays deep, has better accuracy than Vidal and Pogba.

Pirlo could have a near perfect pass completion rate but he tries 40-50 yard lobbed balls, most of which are somehow successful. What a player.

But yeah, I don't remember the last time Marchisio made an incisive pass, Vidal sometimes messes up but then again out of nowhere he threads an excellent ball through.
I remember Sissoko had decent pass stats too.

To be fair to Marchisio he has played pretty well since he returned from injury. He's not spectacular at any one thing he has just done a good all round job.
AKA a utility player, nothing else.

I have been trying to tell JuveJay that for years now, but he doesn't listen.

That's a great formation but substitute Borini for Zaza and I think that'll do.
They can compete for the spot. What's the availability of Glen Johnson?
