Exactly. Our wing-backs can't cross at all, can't dribble/take their man on. They offer us 'width' but we can't do nothing with the 'width'

And there's no defence for giving Chiellini such a license to push forward all the time. Quite possibly our least suitable player to do so.

he is a marchisio type of player.
How has he been able to not be invisible?

Agreed, Chiellini's axis of rotation is just about the same as that of a fucking tractor..

It's a real shame they can't cross...
they push back the entire line, and neutralise opposing wingers. they offer a wide passing option , and thus create channels for the ss+cam+cm to run into. asamoah creates quite a bit of corners and keeps improving his bursts forward, where lichts genuinly dangerous going behind opponents at times.

we force the opponent trough the middle where we are stronger. thats why we win so much in italy, and would have in europe if our defence wasent gifting blunders like its david seaman playing santa

We play Asamoah to have a rock defensively and wins us a couple of corners per game. Great fucking plan to use your width effectively.

De Bruyne ?

hernanes (god i hate myself for admitting, but if the price is right...)
So now you realize there aren't many quality AMs. In fact there are many less quality AMs than wingers. I rate Hernanes a lot but he's not really a difference maker. He tends to disappear in CAM role quite a lot which is why Petkovic moved him back in midfield a bit. I'd say Getting Nani would be better for us and play 433 than 4312 with Hernanes. Grevinho is killing Serie A defenders imagine what could Nani do.

We don't have a lot of money so I think we can expect deals like Berardi's. We'll most likely invest in relatively cheap young talents, who could potentially be starters for us.

I'd go for someone like Iturbe and see towards the end of the season if Berardi is ready to step up.

We need a LB, Santon or Criscito would be good. The former is not a worldbeater but he's a decent enough LB and the latter would definitely improve us.
If that's the case we should bring back Berardi and give him a proper chance. I never get it why it's better to play some average old players just because they have some experience rather than giving a chance to young talents. If that was the case in Germany Gotze would still be playing in BVB B team. Even yesterday Klopp gave a chance to very young CB from their B team that plays 3rd tier in Germany

And this is why I think playing with AM won't solve anything in long term. It won't make Licht and Asamoah cross any better and it'll be pretty much the same narrow style we play (It would be an improvement over 352 but it still will be limited).

Bon,Vuci,Gio,Deceglie,Isla,Motta Should go. No 2 ways about it.
We need money and we need it now.

With that money buy 2 key players, bring back Behrardi and any other good youngster we have around.

Juve obviously want to become better financially but if a player like Mata were to be presented to Juve then 40m or so would be a justifiable amount to spend on a player in his par. Given the team plays well in the Cl then the investment will be paid for by a successful cl run. However it is impossible to expect what will happen in the cl just like this season
QF every season should be the minimum requirement. No excuses. It shouldn't be impossible to predict. Consistency is required if we are to be feared and taken seriously in Europe. What happened this season is nothing short of a debacle.

Why is everyone mentioning Ibarbo suddenly?

The Ibarbo I remember(from last season) has literally no end product.
The alternative is Biabiany :scared: :sergio:

@The Cusp I am not disagreeing that the team needs creativity and a play-maker, but it doesn't have to be a direct Pirlo replacement, and not at the expense of sacrificing a pillar like Pogba. For me, there are a few certainties in this squad, and Pogba is one of them.

If someone offered 18-20 million for Bonucci he can go; 25-30 million for Marchisio and you can dispense with him. I'd even reluctantly allow Vucinic to leave, IF the offer was right. However, Buffon, Vidal, Pogba, Pirlo (if he accepts the new terms and conditions presented to him), Barzagli, Tevez, and Llorente shouldn't be sold at any price.

Btw, what's with the sudden attack on Tevez? People wanting to get rid of him already? :howler:
