We have our 3 starting CBs and we don't have a starting LWB, and actually we don't have a starting RWB either. It's as simple as that
I agree we need a LWB as a more pressing issue but also Asamoah has still done a strong job there. What I'm saying is that I don't think the money spent on Ogbonna is stupid as he was also needed. I don't think our overall squad is so strong (yet) that we can really waste money getting strong players in, which Ogbonna potentially is. They are all useful.

Get Nainggolian in january and a winger in the summer. Job done.

And to throw in the 2918476 winger into the mix, what about Josué from Porto? Young, promising, has scored 4 and assisted 3 in 6 games in the Portugese legaue so far.

Yes, but u gotta set your priorities right. If u need a backup, get a cheap one - short term. Invest the little money you have on your priorities. For 13/15M we could get a guy who attacks better than Asa. His defending is awesome, but in this 352 setup, WBs are absolutely fundamental to the team's offense. Asa would be perfect to fill in the LWB spot sometimes and the Pirlo's spot other times. First team would improve, bench would improve.

And it seems crystal clear that Conte doesn't trust in Peluso and Padoin. They barely played this year. He's actually right, they are at most average. But why bringing them and spending 10M on both??? I'm sure they were Conte's request. If you want fillers on the squad, just bring in talented youngsters. Juve has so many of them. Like Fausto Rossi, Buoy, etc.

Conte is very inclined on not trusting youngsters. Pogba was an exception, since he is possibly the best talent of the world at his age and position.

So I blame this most on Conte, although I believe signing Ogbonna was Marotta's decision.

Conte is a fantastic coach when it comes to pitch work and also mental work. But he is quite stubborn with some squad decisions, too conservative sometimes. His squad management should improve a lot.

now that real madrid have bale i hope di maria fells a bit let down that he dosen't play as much. also if lewadolski joins bayern then manzukic is a nice player to go for.

Di Maria(Berardi/pepe) Manzukic(llorente) Tevez(giovinco)

:sheik:

their salaries are not that high as well. manzukic earned 3.5 million and di maria 3 million.

maybe try to sell some scraps like de ceglie, vucinic even.

Quite frankly i'd be happy if I never, ever had to see the term wing back again.

Wing-backs all they do is ruin our attacks and take the place of players who could actually do something for us. A.K.A Wingers.

You have to switch to a 4 man defense and start by shipping out *at least* Bonucci, Isla and Giovinco to fund a new winger or two.

Ogbonna can back up Barzagli and Chiellini. Lichtsteiner and Caceres can handle RB just fine.

Right now I see our team like this for a 4-3-3:

Lichtsteiner-Barzagli-Chiellini-????
(Caceres)-(Ogbonna)-(Ogbonna)-(Peluso)
Vidal-????-Pogba
(Marchisio)(????)(Asamoah)
????-Llorente-Tevez
(Pepe)-(Vucinic)-(????)

Your top 2 priorities would be LB and RW. You could put Pogba into Pirlo's spot and put Asamoah/Marchisio at LCM but I think I'd rather shoot for the best team possible and that includes Pogba at LCM, not DM.

So you can fill DM maybe with Marchisio/Asamoah or you have to find a new player, maybe Radja. I don't want this player to be a slow regista like Alonso on a free. Let's move on from Pirlo please.

RW needs to be a great player. Bonucci + Isla should be at least 15M. Include 15M from our pockets and you can get a great player like maybe Di Maria. Take advantage of the Coentrao rumours as well please and the free DMs available.

Lichtsteiner-Barzagli-Chiellini-Coentrao
(Caceres)-(Ogbonna)-(Ogbonna)-(Peluso)
Vidal-Fernando/Matuidi-Pogba
(Marchisio)(Padoin troll)(Asamoah)
Di Maria-Llorente-Tevez
(Pepe)-(Vucinic)-(Cerci troll)

good team with a modest investment.

Agree

No more Deep lying playmakers please. I'm so grateful for what Pirlo has done but we don't need a defensive liability and quite frankly don't need a DLP when we have 2 wide men who can attack as opposed to 3 CBs and 2 attackingly inept wing-backs.

Not sure who we should and could get at LB atm.

Which wingers could be realistically available? Apart from Menez on a free or perhaps Nani(who'se on high wages, is very inconsistent and hasn't been good for two years), and perhaps Shaqiri, I don't see anyone.

For left back, we should try to get Coentrão, but that would be difficult.

Next Summer is vital

If we don't move away from 3-5-2 and sell a huge amount of these 'wing backs' who are nothing but dead weight, we're as good as done as far as the CL goes.

1 CB needs to be sold, Padoin and Peluso and PDC and all that mob need to go

Bring up some youngsters for cup games and depth if needed. Spend big on players who will actually help us, we need attacking players whether it be attacking midfielders or wingers.

Look at the players who have been our very best over the last 2 seasons

Barzagli - CB
Bonucci - CB
Chiellini - CB
Lichtsteiner - RB

Marchisio - B2B CM
Vidal - B2B CM
Pirlo - Deep lying playmaker

Our offensive unit has quite frankly been mid-table.
