I'd say he's a good/decent sweeper but a bad footballer in general, and as a CB he shows what he really is.

I actually think he's a good footballer but not a natural defender. I think there's a misconception between the player he is and what others think he should be. As a sweeper in a 3-5-2 he's proven himself already for a couple of years now. He gets scrutinised because he's in a very key and exposed position. And yes, his recent form is irritating the hell out of me.
