Why would we need Vidic lol?

If our defenders would just wake up and stop those silly errors and return to their previous season form, our defence would be top-notch and someone like Vidic would not improve it at all.

Who is Jorginho comparable to? Does he have potential to be decent or just a good player? I liked him against us but I haven't seen much of him.

Andy do you realise how slow Vidic is , and how much in state of decay he became ?

Time counts for everyone. He's no longer that monster of a few years ago. And he wont come here to sit on a bench
yup yup, they said the same about Pirlo too. Frankly speaking if we are to ever return to a back 4 i favour someone like Vidic over Bonucci, whilst barzagli has perhaps another season in him at most.

Stacking the squad with more ageing players.Just what we need.Something Milan and Galliani are famous for and look where it has taken them.

Easy there man there is a diffrence.

Pirlo is both an exception and not. Ballcontroll, passing, vision, technique at low pace, there isnt an age to that. You should watch Ronaldinho at low tempo games sometimes, he's still a goddamn wizzard.
Pirlo is an exception in that despite his age, he still has pretty good reflexes and reactions. those usually decay rather soon.
Agility and explosiveness however, take their tole. Del Piero suffered the same issues. (altho the general massive decreased speed made a huge diffrence between 2008 and 2012 del piero, coupled with the consequence that he couldnt get in form beeing that slow in such position).

Now vidic... He's not a Fernando Hierro. This guy played mostly a sweeper. He still had a massive tackle, impossibly good positionning, and knows how to fend off an opponent. But thats not Vidic.
Vidic doesnt cover his box anymore. He was never fast, but he could manage to position in such way to force players in duels, thanks to his truely world class anticipation. He had the best anticipation i've seen since Cannavaro in his prime. But he's TO slow now. His reaction isnt there anymore. Sure he's still fucking strong and good, but he cannot handle the pace.

In italy, he would still be very good, if he would be between a very fast central defender and an anchorman so his speed issue is negated. But juventus doesnt play that way.
It plays with a ballplaying sweeper and two agressively anticipating centrebacks. Barzagli is many times better then him in that role at juve. Ogbonna will be soon enough.

MILAN, would benefit from him. Seriously. Put one of their fast CB's next to him, with monty and de jong in front. THAT would work. And let milan play their defence and defensive midfield not to far from each other.

But they'll never understand that anyway

It wasent the older players perse. The problem they had, was money issues that didnt allow them to replace older players.

Offcourse, thats what you get if you have such massive disgusting wage bill

Jorginho is immensely versatile and quality in every position he plays.

He can play the regista role, winger, and attacking mid.

I think his preferred/best position is an AM/winger.
