Just to debunk your point mate:

CL Winners over the past 11 years:

2003: Milan
2004: Porto
2005: Liverpool
2006: Barcelona
2007: Milan
2008: Manchester United
2009: Barcelona
2010: Inter
2011: Barcelona
2012: Chelsea
2013: Bayern

The bolded ones, you can argue, were the strongest teams and outright favorites to win the competition that season. However, Milan in 03 and 07, Porto in 04, Liverpool in 05, The Scum :yuck: :inter: in 2010, and The Disgusting and incredibly Lucky Blue Turds in 2012 were nowhere near being the best team in the competition in that particular season. 6 out of the past 11 champions were not the favorites or the best team that year; that translates into approximately a 45% chance of the actual favorite winning the title.

Add to that, no champion has retained their title since Milan did it before the inception of the CL in its modern guise/form, and that almost certainly excludes Bayern repeating this year.

My point was neither that non-favorites cannot win it nor that only the ultra-rich can.

How does that debunk my point that we shouldn't demand a CL title given our little finances compared to the giants?

My point was that moving to a 4-3-3 would be very costly for juve when we barely have the resources for the 3-5-2 that we've been working on for 3 years now.

You didn't state it explicitly, but it was implicit in what you said.

We can't demand a CL title; we can compete for it, but demand suggests an obligation to win it.

I do agree about not deviating from the 3-52 though; we have invested enough time and money trying to build a solid structure using that system/formation.

We should know better by know, after Secco, Marotta has also proved that he is uncapable of bringing a Juve class LB.
Although that seems to be one of the most realistic targets we have, considering our primary needs, for some specific reasons, its just wont happen...

So we better keep our money and buy a Higuain class of a prolific finisher (+18 league goals/season) in the next summer!

Why does he have problems bringing a quality LB? Like he has a good eye for all the other positions but when it comes to LB's he just freezes? Or he still hasn't been introduced to a the LB position, maybe he just doesn't know that it exists?

I'm very, very interested in hearing you explain why he's incapable when it comes to this position.

Seriously wen you are referring to quality LB, are you looking at an upgrade to Asamoah or a better cover to bring from the bench instead of Peluso or De Ceglie.
Honestly how many LWB out there who are better than Asa and wouldn't cost us a bomb.

I wasnt going for not even trying to win it :D I was going for do your best but dont be too disheartened if we dont make it and certainly dont overhaul an entire squad for it.

Juve are looking for a winger. Biabiany, Menez and Bonaventura are the names mostly mentioned. - Tuttosport
This is where we're going wrong. Just Look at those names mentioned. Mediocre fucking wingers that couldn't penetrate through a wet paper bag.
