The Jovetic ship has sailed.I have a strange feeling he could become the Aquilani of forwards.Promising talent but injuries time and again are ruining him.And choosing City with all that competition wasnt the wisest of decisions.Aguero is in blistering form, seems like he went there just to become his understudy.
He may be struggling with fitness, but he most definitely won't be another Aquilani. He's still just 23 years old. You can't really blame him for choosing City, as he was really forced into that direction when he clearly wanted to join Juve. Come next June, with his limited time on the field, he'd surely be available for a cut price. I'd take him in heart beat, and sell Vucinic and Quag.

Some people in here are so negative about our chances of attracting top class players. Here is some inspiring stuff from the good ol' Celtic forum:

Should we move for Iniesta?

I realise that it’s early days and Iniesta may yet negotiate a new contract with Barca, so let’s not get too excited – but should he fail to do so, wouldn’t it finally show some ambition on our behalf, if Lawwell attempted to bring him in on loan at least?

Remember, before poo-pooing the idea, Iniesta has spoken of Celtic glowingly in the past and has said he would like to play at Celtic Park more often. Therefore, while we would face inevitable competition for his signature, it is obvious he have considerable pulling-power over him which we would do well to exploit.

Can someone summarize me how Jovetix is doing in City, what positions he has played, and what are his fitness issues?

Think tonight was his first start and he scored two.

Not sure where he played tonight, but it looks like he is competing with Aguero for a place, with Dzeko and Nagredo competing to be the main centre forward.

Bonaventura and Draxler.

Imagine one day, when Conte is no longer here, a midfield & attack in a 4-2-3-1 formation:

Vidal - Pogba
Berardi - Draxler - Bonaventura
Gabbiadini

Hey, I love Conte just like everyone else over here, but we have to accept that one day he won't be here.

Our new coach probably won't stick to the back 3 and will revolutionize our squad. (i.e. Napoli)

There are two players I'd like to see us persue even as early as january. That is Muriel and Ravel Morrison. Muriel is a must IMO. Him and tevez would make a wonderful partnership. Conte would whip his fat ass into shape and he'd start destroying teams for fun. The link up between him and tevez is the stuff dreams are made off. It would be like how rooney and tevez used to link up at united.

Ravel morrison is just a football god in the making. He'd probably take good time before developing into this footballing god but I'm positive it can be done. Remember what happened the last time we signed a united academy member? Yup, it could be the same story again. Don't think people fully appreciate the extent of this lads talent. It would be like signing zidane all over again.

As I've said iMo those two are what's needed to take this team to the next level. There are however other players I'm confident would improve our side.

Ali adnan- could be the solution to our LWB problems. We wouldn't need to rush his progress because we aren't in completely dire straits. Anyone that watched the world cup u20 would understand why he'd be a great signing for us.

Zuniga. We could potentially get him on a free. Fantastic man marker and he's a beast. He's currently being played in the wrong position. Its about time we got some quality opposition for litch on that right hand side.

Gymiah- don't expect anyone to know about him. He's currently playing in south africa as a DM but would IMO be quality in the sweeper role. He's played as a defender before and he is one of the beast readers of the game I've ever seen.

One thing for sure we should start looking at getting some young talent and gearing up for the future. We're seeing a wave of talent come through the world football hasn't seen since the early to mid 90's and we ought to be taking advantage of this considering we don't have the funds to sign the big name stars.

Napoli and Inter are after Anzhi's Jucilei.

His contract expires next June. They want him in January.

People don't know him, but I'll tell u in advance: the guy is quality! I really think he should be in the NT. He was the best player of the country for at least one season. But then they go to Eastern Europe and disappear.

He's a 25yr strong tall and skilled DM/CM. He can play as a ball winning mid sitting deep or as box to box. He's not slow. Passes well, scores goals, is intelligent...

This guy would fit as a glove in our scheme. And he won't cost more than 6/7M, since his contract in expiring.

Marotta should DEFINITELY do this in January. 15M cheaper than Nainggolan and probably a better player, all around CM. Perfect for our rotation.
no thx, he will be crap
