It's glaring obvious that we need a LWB, this should have been fixed in the summer. Big mistake from the board.

Asa is pretty decent defensively but once he gets up the pitch most of the time he passes the ball back to Chiellini, who passes it back to Bonucci. Only the very odd time does Asa try to beat his man
That's because there are 11 men behind the ball for the opposition. Asamoah doesn't have 1 man to beat, he has 3. Welcome to Italy.

I don't think there's a chance we'll sign Verratti.

Lets sign Baselli and develop him into an even better DLP than Pirlo & Verratti put together. :D

Exaggerating a bit, huh?
He's just one of those players you know we'll never sign.

Amazing player, wish we could have him but its just not realistic to think of him IMO.

We should extend Pirlo's contract for a season or two more, and attempt to develop a youngster in the mean time.

If Gundogan is smart enough then he'll see going to Barca/Real is an idiotic move, it would be Sahin2.0 case. Replacing Pirlo can be a tempting offer to him.

But we need the money for that brahs. And we have to show we are a worthy CL contender this season.Only then top foreign players will be attracted to join us.

You don't rate Dortmund or think Gundogan don't rate Dortmund. After what happened to Sahin and Kagawa, I don't think he will leave Dortmund unless they get KO in CL group stages or something as disappointing. So far they are doing great in the league even without Gundogan.

Madrid might be stupid, but Barca could actually use him. Xavi (much like Pirlo) is aging & needs to be start being slowly replaced in the next couple seasons.

When the time will come to replace Xavi they'll just buy Thiago back or they'll already have some random talent from La Liga (Oliver Torres?)/academy.

IMO, our priority should be to find some WBs who have a clue at going forward/cross. I mean when was the last time these guys whipped some dangerous crosses into the box? This is such a handicap for this formation and it just puts extra pressure on the hole team going forward.
First it was incompetent forwards that made us work harder than we should to score and now that it's fixed, there's still this wing attack lameness.
Kudos to our midfield though. Cuz on the other hand this just signifies what a beast of a midfield we got, that in spite of these liabilities, still have got us the results so far.

I can't see Thiago coming back, I just can't. Oliver Torres is a name that's been linked, there was even a rumor that Barca get first option on him as part of the deal to sell Villa to Atletico but I don't think that was ever proven to be true. There's also Sergi Samper currently in Barca B, who is supposed to be the "new Xavi" but considering as in the Thiago case, Bartra, Montoya etc there seems to be less faith in youth than there used to be.
