Imagine if we sold one or 2 guys and went all out next summer on Di Maria and Robben. I feel both are players we could target. We would be pretty unstoppable by adding those 2 guys.

Personally every single penny we can get hold of should be going on first an actual left back, secondly either a top CAM or a pair of Wingers.

Personally, i'd like a left back so we can go to a back 4 without having one gigantic weakness on the left.


Tbh one of our defenders might have to be sold if we go for a back 4 with the 2 starting full-backs as Licht and the new player. Due to lack of playing time. But at this point i'm all for it. Personally I feel 3-5-2 has taken us as far as it can, short of spending silly money on two new quality wing backs. Would be better to just call it a day, buy a left back and build for a 4-3-3 or something similar by adding a wide man and/or a CAM.

If we're going to play with 4 at the back, Ogbonna could do the job just fine at left back.

What we need is left wing back for the 352, ideally with the departure of one of De Ceglie or Peluso.

Asamoah has been terrible so far this season.

As much as I love Licht, he just can't cut it when we rely heavily on him to do something on the right. He can't cross, he can't take his man on and he can't really dribble.

His defensive work is great, and would be an exceptional right back.

Asamoah is just simply not good enough. But again, that's not his fault. He's a CM ffs.

Another positive that will come from buying a left sided player is that Asamoah can then be a back up CM and take Padoins place in the pecking order.

Probably not, but then I don't just judge a player on my value, the market decides, and Cellino will ask for €20m to sell outright. That seems pretty clear from his past dealings, which is why Nainggolan and Astori are still there.

Maybe another Asamoah-Isla c/o deal for Ibarbo/Nainggolan, to the tune of €20m.

Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of Ibarbo. He does bring the unpredictable, which people are crying out for right now, but I have a feeling we would not use him as a starter or get the best out of him.

Robben would be injured forever before the end of preseason, leaving with only di maria, who would be used with tevez as front duo in a 3-5-2 cause we dont have enough wingers to play 4-3-3

i am for keeping vidal and pogba.... its a different situation to that when we sold zidane.. back than we got over 70 mil for zidane plus we could also afford some net spending.
i doubt we will get a penny over 40 mil for vidal or pogba just because they are cm's.

even though i would love us to sign a player who could create something by his own out of nothing... other than tevez and a here and there pirlo pass we lack ideas
